You kidding? You just need to get the neutral game down better. The rest was solid.

There were so many little things I was doing in those sets but none of it worked or represented itself well. I hate making Johns (really I do), but the lag was really getting the better of me.

You have some really tricky stuff and you have a very aggressive Marth. I'm actually surprised to play a #MarfSquad member who is all about staying in as long as possible. :lol

Lol thanks! Never take online too seriously though. Lag will happens and it will screw you up and you will lose because of it. It's frustrating but it's the price we need to play....

Btw your Marth is no slouch either. Problably the best one I've fought on SmashGaf

:)

What did you think of my Pit and Lolco?

:)

What did you think of my Pit and Lolco?

Well they were both very tricky that's for sure. Marth is also pretty good against pit's projectiles as his dash can slip right under them and same with falco if he jumps first. I haven't fought a whole lot of them to really compare beyond that though... Sorry

Edit: Actually I used to fight a lot of falco thanks to my brother! He wasn't very technical with him so I guess I just didn't think of it. He also has a very very good grasp on the neutral game and playing safe. He also does very well because of this.

Considering how fun Project M online has been in it's limited capacity, this is making me more and more anxious to find out how steady Smash 4's online will be. I can't wait for the GAF Tournaments to start happening.
I'll be out my first match, but still!

Sure! Although I'm still worried I somehow screwed it up lol. And yeah, 10 PST is a bit too late, damn summer classes in the morning.
The set-up was surprisingly simple, to the point I thought I handn't done it right myself, so you're probably fine. If it's connecting to wifi, you're good. If not, we'll definitely help you figure it out. But I'll go ahead and add you. Hope to see you online soon!

So something I've been thinking about that I think a lot of people take for granted, sometimes even myself...

Ridley's boss fights in Brawl were really fucking cool, and very well done.

Ridley

Meta Ridley

Sakurai really did the character justice. I mean look at that shit. That ferocity. Those animations. That theme gloriously redone and just fucking booming. And not to mention, well big an intimidating as shit.

While the debate for him to be playable will probably go until the end of time as long as Smash Bros. still exists and he's not, and I'm still not sure exactly which side I'm on, Ridley has always been defined as a fucking boss, in two senses of the word. It's a big part of his character, and Sakurai really understood that in Brawl. While it does seem like Metroid fans sometimes get screwed in the Smash series, it also seems like that the Metroid love that we do get is sometimes severely overlooked. There really was a lot of care an effort put into making one of Nintendo's most intimidating bosses be just that. If this type of effort is put into his boss fight in Smash 4, I'm really looking forward to it.

Also, I'll never get tired of seeing Pikachu flexin on Ridley. What a little fuckin hard-ass.

I agree completely. Ridley showing up twice the way he did was very well done. Though prepare for a few to bash him for acting like Dynablade. To that I say whats wrong with that? They are both big flying creatures that used similar ways of attacking. I remember someone getting on Sakurai's case for allowing Ridley to rush the screen like Dynablade did and all I could think was that this person must have forgotten everything about Super Metroid's opening match against Ridley.

Ridley moving around like that as playable character all wild and scary would keep me happy for years to come!

Comparatively, Ridley's slow flight animation was really puzzling to me during the direct. A part of me thought, maybe it was on easy and everything was just slow. But I doubt we will be able to adjust the settings unless there is a boss rush mode or something. Still even for a watered down easy mode, the some what jittery nature of the movement just seemed so underwhelming compared to Brawls super duper awesomely amazing Ridley. Still hoping for playable and stage boss.

Do I see what I think I see? ;)

I doubt we'll get much this week and bank on the heavily speculated Hype Reveal at EVO this weekend.

Sakurai, show us your moves.

This is the part where I wish everyone would pretend it's not even there and discuss something totally different instead of crowding around it like that's not the most suspicious thing in the world.

So show of hands, how many people here are going to be watching Melee @ EVO this weekend?

Got camping. The highlight reel should be badass.

Unfortunately working Friday and Saturday, but I should be able to catch the finals.
