Societal pressure did it, for nearly every one of us.
plenty of gay people find the idea of heterosexual sex acts kind of gross.
really? I'd be very surprised if that was true.
not interested, sure
but finding it repulsive and gross? the same way many straight men think about gay sex?
I'd be very, very surprised.
it depends, does it happen just because they're two men doing it ? If so, yes, there's a slight homophobic subtext.
Does it happen because you find anal sex, oral sex repulsive? If so, no
Maybe it's not the case but I've definitely heard and read people expressing that sentiment.

I'd actually like fo few more opinions on this, as it would certainly destroy my theory, that the repulsive reactions to gay sex are purely socially pressured homophobia.
In this case, I'd wager there is an underlying reason. It's just a kiss.I don't man, I don't care what 2 guys want to do be it sex marriage whatever, but I will turn away if two guys are going to kiss. It's not that I can't accept it but physically it makes my skin crawl.
That depends. Is it a rump roast? When you're involved you don't really care but if it happened right in front of you when you're trying to enjoy your sunday roast I'd imagine it'd be quite offputting.
I still have trouble watching gay people kiss in public to be honest. I dont know if its social conditioning or heterosexual genes.
Nope, it doesn't make you prejudiced. I have a gay friend who says he doesn't like it, and doesn't have sex with his partner. That seems a bit weird to me, but his partner is a bit of a dork, so maybe that's where the problem lies
Well given how general the OP is...
Are we talking outright repulsion?
Are we talking people being fine with the idea, just not wanting to talk about it?
Are we talking about people who don't want to watch it?
You have to be more specific. Because if you answer yes to questions 2/3 you're not saying it's repulsive, you're just saying you don't want to give it much thought. Same way some people are cool with sex, they just don't want to talk about/watch it.
He could be asexual. Or some people just don't like sex.
laughing at these "2 dudes kissing is gross but TWO GIRLS MAKING OUT IS SO HOT DUDE" responses though, really shows the male centered homophobia and hypocrisy the world is known for.
Finding a kind of sex unappealing is fine -- it means that you are not, in fact, gay.
Attempting to legislate, hate, or otherwise ruin other people's lives over it is not fine.
Why do people think so much about gays having sex?
Are these people imagine every pair they see having sex? It's kinda creepy if so.
Does finding the act of gay sex repulsive, make you prejudiced?
