I know it's a cliché, but they were frighteningly efficient too. According to the stats they didn't have that many opportunities, but they knew what to do with them. 10 shots on goal in total, 7 goals.
Just compare that to Belgium shooting 30 times at the US goal and scoring 2.

Can't understand why they still have the 3rd place match. It only really has a place in sports/events that have a bronze medal for 3rd (Olympic football, for example). The Euro's have dropped it as well, I think.

I feel sorry for real fans, real supporters.
There is a die hard Brazilian supporter who wears yellow and green every day of the year and drives around in a yellow green car.
But I do not feel sorry for bandwaggon supporters though.
So many bandwagonners here from people whose team did not qualify so they bandwaggon onto Brazil like people who wear Yankees caps because its fashionnable.

Greece lost 4-2 but surprisingly managed to equalize 1-1 in the second half, before succumbing to 4-1.
at that match Karagounis didnt play due to an unjust yellow card previously against Russia, where he had scored the winner. Had he played, perhaps Greece might have pulled a surprise or at least have lost to overtime, like Turkey did in 2008.
