Deep down, I'm still hoping for a kind of thing where beating a mode with a character in the 3DS Version gives you a hat of/relating to that character. Especially if it gives us a way to get Wonderful 101 masks.

So, I've seen this brought up a few times before on other sites, but do you think it's possible with Sakurai giving Miis and Palutena a large range of different moves, Wario might have differences depending on rather he's in overalls or in his biker outfit?

If he was gonna go that route, he'd be better off making two characters. Though one can possibly assume that some of his special variants will lean more towards one franchise or the other.

At that point he'd be two characters, so no. But I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that more characters have more significant move differences than just what's been revealed.

If it's costume based he would absolutely have to be 2 characters which won't happen since they'd both have the same name (it's not like toon link who is technically a different link altogether. They're BOTH the same Wario). No reason that sakurai couldn't make him have varied custom moves like palutena, though. Would be a good way to represent each of his franchises better.

My Wii is broken. :-( Looks like I'll have to get it fixed or buy a replacement...

Edit: Shit, I still haven't finished La Mulana!

Dr. Kawashima mask

But then he won't be a DLC character :(

Also, I really don't care about these Mii pictures. I'm still upset that Mii isn't really a full character, I wanted to main him like I do in MK8.

"I luckily got to play a lot of matches with super armor vs super armor and have to say the more patient player generally gets the upper hand."
Welp. Super-defensive play confirmed.

Yeah, but it's still a subset of players and moves. I don't think it'll make for super-defensive. It may make Bowser vs Pit quite the standoff, though.

Hey Anura, I'm gonna back out and then rejoin, if that's alright with you. Wanna see if it'll reset the lag.
Also, your Falcon is too damn good man.

In one instance a character was in the middle of rising through the top platform on Battlefield. Bowser used his down air from above and crashed into the platform and spiked the rising player. The player plummeted down onto the bottom of Battlfield and then bounced back up, all the way past the stage's ceiling. Leading to a Star KO.

Woah. So a meteor can potentially KO on the stage if your HP is high enough? That's a huge buff to link's dair.

Yeah, that's a nice change. It was always stupid how moves like Ganondorf's down air could KO if your opponent had both feet on the ground, but didn't if they were an inch or two above it.

Link? They were using Bowser's dair as an example and they even describe as a spike, not a meteor smash. Spikes have always worked that way, right?.

edit: I have no idea what I'm talking about

I'm online for Project M, so let me know if anyone want to fight me.

Yeah, That's what people have been saying ever since E3 that the gameplay is more of defensive style than aggressive or balance.

I am in a few hours. I haven't set up Project M for online play yet, anyone have a handy guide available so I don't have to scour the thread?

this, I didn't know people could play PM online, wasn't the brawl server taken down? nevertheless cool stuff

This is what DaBoss told me to do, and it worked for me:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/3da0fvmf1849trd/Project+M+Wifi+Hackless.rar

You only need the Project M and Codes folders and the gameconfig.txt file in your SD card. Set up the paths in USB Loader GX (it is one of the settings options) so that it looks for GCT codes in this path "SD://codes/"
You can probably ignore the part about the USB Loader GX if you don't use it USB Loader GX to launch Brawl/Project M normally.

I'm online for Project M.
.
I'll be up to play in like ~20 minutes.

Mega man's meteor causes little mac to bounce even though little mac is in the air. This was not previously possible. Link's Dair is now a meteor meaning it can cause you to bounce even if you're in the air. In theory, it could bounce you right back into link's dair and you could get hit twice by it.

Mac went up like half a foot at 60%, I can't imagine how high % has to be for a star KO

Do we have a thread for organizing Project M games? Seems like it might be better than hijacking a thread intended for Smash4 discussion. It'd be a lot easier than looking around for people's FC's as well.

Yeah, I assume mid-air bounce is way less than ground bounce. If I had to guess, each meteor/spike will send you down X distance (based on percent). If you hit the ground before you cover X distance, you bounce up the remaining. If you're on the ground already, you go *UP* X distance.

So, to make up numbers... If you're at 50%, you'll move a total of 10 ft. If you're 5 ft off the ground, you'll hit the ground and bounce back up 5 more feet. If you're Touching the ground, you'll bounce up 10 feet. If you're 11 feet off the ground, you'll go down 10 feet and then hit the ground before you can react.

That's just my guess, though. You're no longer perma stopped by the ground no matter what.
