I hate "gloating" but I remember saying: "I have a feeling Argentina will reach the final playing like shit". And hey, what do you know...

though, to be fair, I though this was their best match. Not very easy on the eyes, I think, but smartly played. Mascherano's tackle denying Robben was sublime.

Congrats to ArgentinaGAF! Also, a GG to Ned-GAF for reaching this stage. Can't stand Van Gaal and Robben, but I always tend to like Netherlands teams. I hope you can reach this stage in 2018!

Considering the low expectations beforehand I can I'm really proud of what our team still managed to accomplish. It was truly a team and so many players had crucial roles. Depay, Fer, Robben, Van Persie, Krul, Kuyt, Sneijder, Blind, Vlaar, Huntelaar and De Jong all had their moments. It was definitely not the best squad The Netherlands ever had, but LvG did a great job with what was handed to him. We simply weren't good enough.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of team we'll have in four years, though.

Argentina deserves to win in this match. They played better and had very close chances of scoring. Their defense was incredible in this match and they knew how to contain Robben very well. If they play this good against Germany, they would have a good chance of winning.

You could say the exact same thing if NED had won. Just replace robben with messi. I'd say they were as equal as they could be
