there are kids today that have 3ds' and Wii us that are too young to even remember Mario Galaxy, let alone Sunshine, Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX... the list goes on. HD remasters of these old game are primarily for them, I think.

Wind Waker HD was cheap and took 6 months to crank out. I don't see why they can't make a whole bunch more, especially since they don't look like they'll be doing Gamecube virtual console games at this point. Again, if you're Nintendo right now, you have close to ZERO third party support. You take what you can get. Instead of June -> late September with NO GAMES, you throw a Metroid Prime Trilogy HD somewhere in there.
 
An HD remaster of Metroid Prime Trilogy would be so nice

Booting up the Wii version on an HDTV is like oogling a shrapnel bomb explosion

Man, I'm not even excited for Smash updates anymore. I think E3 burned me out, and Sakurai's string of uneventful updates (which are still appreciated, mind you -- I know we could be getting nothing) certainly doesn't help. I feel like I already know the roster, even if certain characters are still in contention.

Hyrule Warriors is stealing Smash's thunder at the moment. It obviously has the benefit of releasing in Japan next month and having only recently begun its press cycle, so it can show more dramatic stuff, more often. But it is what it is. So many crazy character choices, with awesome trailers, to boot. Lovin' it.

Actually, maybe I should try it on WiiU since the HDMI might help. Brawl certainly looked better than I expected.

But the Character Approaching! banner disappeared last week! That means a veteran this week!

That'd be nice. Maybe something in time for EVO.

I'll probably be hype again once they pull out the big guns. I try to act like I don't need him, but Sakurai always leaves the front porchlight on for me.

Well, it kinda helps that Hyrule Warriors will see daylight in about a month, so there's a good amount of pumping up new info from trailers and magazines to keep the awareness for this game alive. Pretty excited to see who are the other playable characters.

Agitha launched me into Smash Bros. levels of hype. She's a Wii Fit Trainer/Mr. G&W/R.O.B.-style pick. So out of left field, and all the more exciting for it.

I would do some crazy stuff for F-Zero GX HD but I think it'd be tied up a little with Sega having been involved. It wouldn't be as straightforward a remake as WWHD anyway.
