I love American Mario. He is my star, my muse.
I think it's one of the worst updates ever.
We get that Mario... thing instead of anything remotely connected to its games (Dr. Mario alt anyone?) and then we get that "Light Suit" alt for Samus. I really do not understand what's the problem in creating a different model.
Very, very lazy for someone who's always putting EVERYTHING in its games like Sakurai. I guess he really doesn't like the concept of alternate costumes for some reason.

I'm calling him lazy because it's obvious he can come up with better things than "American Mario / Obscure Japanese Dude alt" or "Light Suit COLORS alt". He didn't even remove the cap from SS' Link. I don't understand why is he creating so much stuff for Villager, Mii and even Little Mac while Samus Aran gets pushed in the back, AGAIN.
I swear I would rather have only palette swaps like always than this half-assed sweeteners.

Light suit looks bad, just as the link one. Mario Nes golf looks awesome though.
Again this types of retexrures can look cheap as hell, the game is looking more and more like those brawl textures mods.
A new game mode has been announced as well!

Oh I thought that there was a consensus about Magic Armor being one of the worst stuff to happen in a Zelda game. I'm apparently wrong.
Also technically Villager doesn't have alts. They are all possible looks for the player in Animal Crossing. In fact the default (keep hammering A) is this:

An alt is a costume that has model changes when compared to the default smash costume.
Alt doesn't mean it's a different character or anything.
This, I'd rather they just stuck to alternate palettes if this is what we're going to get.
I hate most brawl texture mods as is and you can atleast come up with the excuse that they don't have the means or the ability to do it properly but when you see it in an official game it just looks awful.
They could have atleast changed his hat to the mario golf style hat, he takes his hat off in a taunt so they could have easily made the hat a separate model and replaced it with the golf one for this alt.
The Project M alts so far for characters in both games outclass the smash 4 ones.

There's no guarantee all characters will get proper alts. If Mario does get a Dr. Mario costume, they could also turn his lab coat into a tropical shirt or something.
I was referring to why villager has different looks compared to other characters, because that is reflective of the character. All the other Smash fighters have a default look so the additions are alternatives. Villager just consists of a set of possible looks, they all have equal importance.

Hey, I never said they were good, I said they were random! SF had nine different endings, and since it was the last Star Fox game, we don't really know which one is canon. The endings for that game were insane, and included Falco turning on Fox to create Star Falco, Slippy having a bunch of frog kids and retiring, and the aforementioned Fox joining F-Zero races.Zora armor Link and shadow Peach are cool, the rest would be horrible choices though.

It was awful in game, but it still looks cool!
In addition to the Light Suit, the Samus alt also resembles one of the Prime 2 multiplayer alts.

Hahaha, I really love both alt colors. I truly didn't expect any alt from NES Open Tournament so I hope that Luigi would get his own too so we can make a team of NES Open.

Echoes was awesome. I didn't like it better than Prime the first time I played it but after replaying it on hard mode I came to like it the best in the series.
But the multiplayer part of it isn't that great imo.
