Nintendo Downloads - July 2014

It's not "filmmakers" and "game devs" who are "forced" to do that. It's publishers who do it just to maximize profits. Fucking Disney cut Lilo & Stitch in Germany because they feared they might get a FSK 6 rating, lol. Now with the blu ray release 12 years later they tried again with the uncensored version and oops, the censorship wasn't even necessary because it still got its FSK 0. Don't blame our rating system, just because publishers are greedy.
CEOs of public companies have an obligation to maximize profits. That's literally the most important part of their job. These companies are not charities.

From Nintendo's official twitter..

Could someone tell me what's so good about The Wonderful 101? Would rather hear impressions from gaf than rely on reviews. Thinking it might be my next Wii U game but I'm not sure. Convince me pls

you ever play MGR or Bayo 1

it's like that; pure action awesomeness

Nope.
Been wanting to play MGR but never got around to it.
Refused to play Bayo because of the inferior PS3 port. I'll get around to it with the Wii U version.
The only Platinum game I've played is Okami (that counts, right?) and a bit of Vanquish but I didn't really get into it

I'm seeing 3D Classics Kid Icarus and Metal Torrent as Club Nintendo rewards, they both look pretty fun, but won't have enough coins left for my gold/platinum reward if I get one or both of them. Do you think the rewards will be announced before these two games expire?

You don't need coins for the Gold/Plat reward. You are given a choice based on what you finished last yr with - Plat or Gold. You pick your reward and that is all. You aren't charged for them.

Eh? I'm confused as to what you mean by this. Spending coins should have no bearing on gold/platinum status.

Is that at least a somewhat good baseball game?

It's better than black box Baseball, but for my money the best Virtual Console baseball game is 2020 Super Baseball. Could you imagine if Neo Geo games could come to the Wii U Virtual Console? Wow. If only.

Gold/Platinum is based on how many coins you've earned over the course of the year.

It has nothing to do with how many at a time or currently that you have, and you don't need to spend any coins to get it.

Note Metal Torrent is DSiWare.

When the rewards are announced, people who earned Gold will be able to choose between one of several digital games or (usually) a calendar. People who earned Platinum will be able to choose the Platinum reward (or one of the Platinum rewards if they have more than one) OR one of the Gold rewards. As said above, none of those rewards costs coins and your current amount of coins doesn't matter, as long as you had enough to get Platinum status last year.

Hey Nintygaf, it's been a while since I've bought any games with coins on Club Nintendo. Those give you codes that anyone can register, right?

Oh really? Do they cut their films in the US as much that every film gets an E for Everyone? No? Because that'd be just as stupid as the example I gave.

Note Metal Torrent is DSiWare.
Yet it can't be redeemed on a DSi as the DSi Shop doesn't support getting games via code.

At least it is better than having Nintendo points at hideous prices...

I really wish the eShop prices more closely resembled retail. Bought Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate from Gamestop for $20 but I'd much rather have it digital. Not sure if it's worth twice the price just to have it on a SD card though.
It has been on the eShop for that price before. I'm sure it will do so again nearer the MH4 release.

FUCK YEAH RABI LABY 3!!!

(This is not sarcasm. The Rabi Laby series is GoaT.)

I've already completed the Japanese version 100% but I'm glad they've finally decided to localize it. Something seemingly big happens at the end of the game.

I look forward to being the only person on the US leaderboards!

The Pokemon TCG Game asked me about choosing between three languages (german, english and spanish? ). Is there any option to change my decission?

Is there no option menu ? If not you will probably have to delete the save game.

It's like NOA doesn't want to make money. These are all shit.

Where's all the GBA games?
Where's Super Mario Kart?
Where's Super Mario RPG?
Where's Donkey Kong Land?
Where's Brain Training?

Are there enough sports games on the Wii U virtual console because you know that's what people interested in that service are most looking forward to buying.
