Statistics trends and all, the reason why Argentina will lose is because they lack a good midfielder. Spain and Italy showed how to beat this monster German squad by controlling the ball well. Messi and Co. has no chance.
Mascherano is best Argie. You even see him barking pep talks during the ET breaks and while Messi looked like an exhausted fuck. Messi's star imo is dying, he hasn't look the same since those muscle injuries. If only 2010 Messi was playing this final, then his team may have a chance.

I'm not sure about this, Enzo Perez and Lucas Biglia played well enough, Perez much better than expected.
The midfield may not be the strong point of Argentina, but I don't see it being bad either.
