Maybe too early to say this, but I'm actually more excited about Xenoblade stages/musics than Shulk himself.

Awwwwww yeah. Too bad we have to wait for the whole weekend, but woo Shulk. Does that one guy still post around here? Wouldn't surprise me if he jumped ship sometime ago. Also while I love having any Xenoblade rep, I just think Shulk is a little boring compared to the rest of the cast. Really hope there's some appearances from the rest of the cast.

The first leak contained only six characters, so there wasn't anything particularly strange about Rosalina's absence -- she was in the same boat as the Chorus Kids, Shulk, Chrom, Palutena, and Greninja at the time. The second leak came in April, months after Rosalina's reveal, so obviously there just wasn't an opportunity to leak her.
The most recent leak contained the same characters as the April leak, so Shulk, Chrom, and the Chorus Kids are probably the only newcomers left.

How many are we at now? Marth, Ike, Little Mac, Palutena, Lucario, and Greninja? By counter I mean an ability that only activates on being hit. That's about 1/5 of the characters so far having a counter.

Not really, since the statement that this was the final roster was never made. To speculate that this is the final roster vs speculating that there are some things the leaker didn't know (for example everything not related to characters to move on from Rosalina) have the same precedence since they both make an assumption based on the absence of information. If people want to speculate more they are not bargaining, they are just speculating.

I'd disagree. There's much more evidence for this being the final newcomers. The bargaining people are looking for new ways to get more characters now that the chances seem increasingly slim.

You know, after watching this first wave of EVO matches, one thing I'm really looking forward to with Smash 4 tournaments is more stage variety. Dreamland is driving me crazy.

While I'm really, really, really hoping for Snake to the point of damaging my health, either way I really do hope a veteran comes with Shulk. It's been way too long since we got one, and I'm honestly more interested in the vets than the newcomers at this point.
Mainly because one of those vets are Snake. And I have Little Mac so fuck everything else.
