Siment Belmont and Ryu Hayabusa are higher than her.. way higher and Either of them probably aren't getting in the game.

By that definition, Pac-Man, Palutena, Little Mac, Mega Man, and Villager would all be considered "vintage." It's also worth considering that there aren't as many vintage newcomers because all of the older characters worth adding (in Sakurai's opinion) are already in the series. The pool of sensible newcomers becomes smaller with each game, so the remaining Gematsu characters could very well be the only ones left.

I'm also a bit bummed that they are running out of character announcements. I hope the lack of newcomer videos doesn't mean that we don't have new characters to be discovered only when the game launches!

He's my runner up to Simon. I think he would play so well but I worry that he won't get a shot because the game is so recent.
Also, I'd kill for a Shovel Knight amiibo figure.

I was thinking that too. That'd be pretty awesome, although he's 3rd pty and his first game just came out, so it's pretty unlikely unfortunately.
The game already has the biggest gaming icons out there in it that people care about.

I don't think he's like either but people want him in along with Ridley. I doubt the feeling is the same in Japan. I'm pretty sure Metroid doesn't sell great and I don't know about K. Rool since the DK name sells those games.

Metroid sells a million copies while Smash sells like 10.
I doubt the vast majority of Smash players give two flips about Ridley or K Rool or Toad.
