I really don't know what to expect from tomorrow's match

Netherlands will do their hardest to bore us to tears. They will do everything in their power to give us another 0-0 dutch classic.

But Neymar will dive in the box, scoring on a penalty, and giving Netherlands the biggest dose of karma in the universe.

Neymar is playing?

It'll be David Luiz wearing this mask.

Italian Nicola Rizzoli has been appointed the referee for the final.

Germany and Argentina contested the final of the 1990 FIFA World Cup Italy™ and an Italian referee will officiate as the same countries meet in the 2014 decider. Nicola Rizzoli, a 42-years-old an architect from Bologna, has already refereed three matches at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, taking charge of Spain-Netherlands and Nigeria-Argentina in the group stages and the quarter-final between Argentina and Belgium.

Rizzoli will be assisted by his compatriots Renato Faverani and Andrea Stefani, who are both 44 years old. The fourth official will be Carlos Vera from Ecuador. Nicola Rizzoli will be the third Italian referee in the history of the FIFA World Cup to officiate a final, following in the footsteps of Sergio Gonella in 1978 and Pierluigi Collina in 2002.

I think Marco Rodriguez deserved to referee at least the 3rd place match. He has been great all 3 games.

So, just out of curiosity: how is the interest level in today's match for my fellow Dutch-gaf members and Brazil-gaf? Because everyone I know personally really doesn't give a f*** about the match, they all agree that these kind of "third place matches" shouldn't be played.

Don't think I'll be watching, really don't give a fuck. We weren't good enough to reach the final, so as far as I'm concerned, the World Cup is already over for NL. The third place match is terrible.

Edit:
Seth Meyers has it about right in his initial reaction to the defeat to Argentina:

Last night I looked into the stars. We don't look at them very often anymore. But this time I looked closely. And what I saw was a clear picture. It felt like I could watch into the future. It was phenomenal. It was breathtaking. It was earthshattering. I could see the result of tomorrows game. And it was good.

Germany 3
Argentina 0

The stars don't lie. The prophecy will come true.

I'm sorry Argentina-GAF.

Germany got this.

4/10

I'll watch the game, but I don't really care. I also think Brazil will defeat us since they have to make up for their match against Germany.

Our team just wants to go home, even though everyone is saying they want to win. I do hope Vorm will defend the goal btw, that way everyone from the squad has playtime.

you, uh... you dont wanna go for a ride, do ya?

Wonder by Wonder, I think Argentina wins this magic carpet ride. 2-1.

I don't care about tonight's game. But the boys deserve to go out on a positive note. I guess Brazil will be motivated to make up for their shameful display against Germany.

1:0 for germany i think.
(can not understand all the high scores of some others here. yeah, ger did great 4 years ago against arg. But this is a final and arg is not stupid. Also they are playing ita-defense style and we know how ger struggle with that kind of game. don't come up with por/bra game. else i can also come up with ned beating spain so high, but not scoring against arg...)

I don't really care about the results one way or the other for this upcoming NED-BRA match, I'm just glad to we get to see some new WC footie, the past 2 days have been pure torture for me.

All I've been doing is rewatching that semifinal BRA-GER game that I recorded in HD lol. It's a fine match to behold, I've seen it 3 times already and every goal is still a wonder.

It's probably a historical piece of footballing worth holding on to. I'm not deleting it from my DVR lol.

Seriously. Imagine you finish the world cup with two defeats in a row. That's sad.

In the past you could count on Germany at least. We were always up for the challenge. But I don't see that with the Netherlands and Brazil lol.

Surely Brazil will win, they are playing for pride whereas the LVG has already said this game is completely pointless. It would be nice if the Dutch could score a goal though, otherwise it will be at least 5.5 hours of football since they scored.

Brazilian here and I´m so ignoring that shit. Going to be watching evo.

With the return of Thiago Silva, the Brazilian defense should go back in a good shape at least. They should win this match in order offset some of the humiliation they got from Germany.

Now that Silva is back Brazil should try for fun to play with David Luiz as a striker (can't be worse than Fred and Jo) and Marcelo as midfielder with Alves - Dante - Silva - Maicon in defense.

I'm going to the movies so I won't be watching. If I didn't have any plans I would watch the game.

Couldn't give a damn, tbh. Maybe I'll look at the stream with half an eye if I am behind my PC at that time.

I've moved on to the TDF now.
