Too bad they dropped the "mini-guns", I've seen them in many concept pictures.

Actually i remember reading an interview with DeeJ where he said at launch Vault of Glass will be the only raid. Which is perfectly fine considering there is a normal and hard mode variant of the raid.

And we probably won't find out until the full release, but if our speculation is correct and movement abilities are not class specific but sub-class specific, then the Class Wars are dead and we go to just being #BasedDestiny.

Nope, everything so far has been PS4 footage (bar the leaked Xbone captured footage with frame rate issues a day or two ago.)

Since Destiny borrows a lot from the MMO genre, raid dungeons are typically one at a time and gated content. Glass Vault is supposed to be the most difficult content in the game so I wouldn't expect any other raids at launch.

They'll probably release one raid dungeon per expansion.

If there's town clothes that you can wear in the Citadel..and by Citadel I mean Tower...damn you Mass Effect... or other non-combat areas, I'd be all for some cleavage and sex appeal..but not in armour.

I've read/watched pretty much all Destiny info, so unless you can provide a source that DeeJ explicitly says "Vault of Glass will be the only Raid at launch", I don't buy it man (unless I missed it, then fair play). Maybe you're thinking of the Angry Joe interview in which he says there will be "A" Raid (which doesn't count out the idea of more than one)?

nothing wrong with attractive armor, as long as it is functional. unfortunately, that cant be said of 98% of fantasy armor, and sci fi doesnt get a free pass either.

Destiny has a great wardrobe for both genders. The males dont feel power-fantasy either.

Yup. Halo 3 was awesome. I think it gets a lot of shit for no reason. Dax once covered why it was as amazing as it is and I agreed 100 percent.

Just set my beta code on b.net, I'll be slumming it on the 360 come the 23rd. I'm primarily interested in trying out the game play, so I'm not going to rush out and snag a PS4 just yet.

I'm really, really worried about ADS. Possibly my most hated mechanic when it comes to FPS. I have yet to purchase a FPS that uses it.

Honestly as someone who also isn't a huge fan of ADS I found that it wasn't something you had to do.

As a general rule, I don't like shooters. Halo was the first FPS series since the original DOOM games that I enjoyed. Over the years I came to understand the reasons why, in part by trying other modern shooters and recoiling in horror at some of the (now common) design conventions. ADS and reticle bloom that often accompanies it have kept me away from dozens of shooters over the years. As a Bungie fan I'm really excited, but also apprehensive for this reason.

I'm with you. Honestly like I said above though I found it wasn't a requirement to do well. I was just shooting from the hip on almost every weapon in the game. You'll find a lot of the weapons feel like Halo. The sniper and the shotgun are 100 percent halo. The various rifles feel like Halo. What is equal to the assault rilfe in Halo is very easy to shoot from the hip. Like Halo the burst rifle can be fired from the hip too. The burst is like your battle rifle. You can ADS to get more accurate or you can fire from the hip if you know what you're doing. Same with scout which if I remember right is the 1 shot weapon like the DMR. Overall I know a lot of people doubt it but the weapons really feel a lot like Halo but with some ADS. Even the ADS doesn't so much feel like ADS. It feels to me more like zooming in does in Halo but with the reticule and stuff displayed on the screen. I honestly think you will like it.

Ah I see. So will there be weapons and armor requiring a higher level than 20 (which we believe is the cap), or is it just a stat only boost?

It would be quite clever if you could find guns which need, for example level 25, thus forcing you to try and boost your level through armor in order to use it.

I personally had more fun on Halo 3 than I did on Halo 2.

The 50 was literally the hardest thing on Halo 2, so many Lag switching on bridged host....
