I think it's tied to XP. I couldn't level up certain things passed the cap despite using them a number of times in the alpha.
Speaking of upgrades, I think the Arc Blade has two distinct maneuvers that you can choose between:
The spin, which basically acts like the Fist of Havok
The pinball, which is more direct and specifically targets enemies

Wow this is new to me.
But i can't imagine that it works flawlessly. So what are the downsides of it?
What about deadzones of the sticks and triggers?
That looks pretty sweet, for a hunter I mean. Could make the class a bit OP if it has a instakill (golden Gun) and that AOE move.
I mean warlock is a beast but after the photon torpedoes we only get some kind of a health boost, or is it a team health boost. I'm not so sure. Has it been detailed?

Been on holiday for two weeks, turned my PS4 on today (it was OFF, not in Standby) and I have the Destiny Beta on my console already. I am guessing this is because I preordered the game, but no way it downloaded 15gb already. I am guessing it will download the actual files later this week?
It's basically the first time in history gamers in Yurop got something first. Too bad they can't actually play it yet though looool

Radiance revives you and your teammates and buffs stats. Of the known subclasses, the Hunter does indeed have offensive supers, unlike the Warlock and Titan. The Hunter may not be directly contributing to the team, but Golden Gun will be able to pick up the slack from a distance and Arc Blade will take care of close quarters while the Warlock and Titan support and buff the team. There will be many different tactics in Raids that make use of all the supers, so at least for PvE one class isn't more OP than the other.
Radiance could be a problem in PvP though, but we have to see how it works first to speculate on that.
Click options under the Beta and then info, it should show you if its fully downloaded. 15GB means its done.
Mine had a 178MB dld first. Then a silent background download which did the rest.
Cool. I didn't realize it buffed stats as well. That could be very useful when facing a boss on a strike etc... Just read it also gives you the ability to revive yourself. I take it all back. radiance sounds hella-cool.

Yup - Voidwalker for Free Roam/Story/PvP, Firesinger for Strikes and Raids.

I love Radiance's solar wing effect.

I've said time and again that I don't intend to be in the Crucible at all, if ever, but I really do worry about Blink being overpowered. You could technically blink through an enemy's super if your reaction time is good enough.

Ah yeah, its nearly done now. Sweet. Odd that this download doesn't appear in the Notifications area though, but I guess as far as the PS4 is concerned, the download is complete.
Yeah that one caught me out last night too. Seems weird it doesn't give a notification of it's status.

Be very disappointed come the major expansion if Radiance does not get a buff to add lightning bolts around you when you come back to go to SS2.

I think it all really depends on the cooldown time. I know blink replaces glide as a warlock's secondary jump ability, if you can spam it as quickly as you can glide then it will be completely OP.

Yeah, if there's cooldown it'd be fine but I really can't see them putting a cooldown on it because then Warlocks who lock their subclass with Blink will be unable to keep up with other classes in sections such as the brief bit of platforming we've seen in the Vault of Glass raid where the platforms disappear and reappear.
Maybe there'll only be cooldown on it in the Crucible, but not anywhere else.

Im even choosing my character (Hunter) because of the double jump.
The gliding of the Warlock pissed me off, unless there are mods wich speed it up.
The titan was oke with the jetpack, but the Hunter felt very agile and quik.

The Titan's bubble shield super is called Ward of Dawn.
Hunter class gets Blink as well, or at least a variation of it.
