He's obnoxious, alright.!!!!
That does little to cancel his obnoxious reveling.

In Sinclair's addled brain, this is apparently a clear goal scoring opportunity.Lol red card? What? You know the guy on the right is the goal keeper right?
Great jokelol not working. what are we, southern europe?![]()

Yellow card and indirect free kick. There is no reason that his knee should be that high. That he got a free kick was really fucked up, but in the end Argentina has nobody but themselves to blame, they missed two fucking sitters.
It should have definitely been a card, though. He goes for the ball but it is dangerous play. Extremely dangerous play.

is Germany still celebrating their illegitimate win?
Should have been red card and penalty.
That was fucking insane.
It should be a yellow card not a red card.
Also couldn't this be an indirect Free kick in the penalty box for dangerous play?

As many said before, goalies are trained to catch the ball that way. There was literally no way he could have caught that ball without colliding with Higuain.
he played the ball in his own penalty zone.
Also, how about the foul against Kramer in the penalty zone by PLAYERS?

He later said he can't remember anything in the first half time and has a concussion.
Thanks guys, cant wait, thats 9 AM germany time?
Ehh, can't agree. I think that it was a pretty clear case of damned if you do, damned if you don'tThe fact that he got back up straight away and started shouting at the ref didn't help his case.
Also couldn't this be an indirect Free kick in the penalty box for dangerous play?
I also love how many ignore what Argentina did to Schweini

No, that's not possible. It's just dangerous play as long as there's no contact between both players.
Playing in a dangerous manner involves no physical contact between the players.
If there is a physical contact, the action becomes a offence punishable with a direct free kick or penalty kick.

That was not a foul, nor dangerous play. He did not move his shoulder towards his face.

He also missed the red card for Howedes.I just want to clarify my position before people get confused.
The ref messed up in both directions. Besides the killer jump from Neuer there was at least a second yellow card for Aguero's punch and I think a couple of minutes before that another Argentinian player should have been booked for another bad foul (I also think in this case it would have been a second yellow card)
That is a fair point
Huh something is off about this gif, it looks shopped. I know a situation looking like that happened yesterday but this one doesn't feel right.

This situation is different. Schumacher was never going to get the ball, he knows it and didnt even play at it. Thats a sending off.And players are trained to dive. It doesn't make it right.
I am surprised that Higuain stood up after that hit.
Wait a minute... thinking about it I think you are right.
This is how they train German goalkeepers.

Yep agreed, although it seems that refs have abolished the indirect free kick in the box for dangerous play. Haven't seen one in years.
There was an instance at the beginning of the final where an Argentinian player passed back towards the keeper and he picked it up, that was sort of in between a pass and a deflection, that I'm pretty sure would've gotten an indirect free kick back in the olden days. Heck, I remember a game in, 94 I think, Netherlands-Mexico, where Jorge Campos held onto the ball for a bit longer than six seconds and got a yellow card and an indirect free kick. That was rare even then obviously, some first time African ref that wanted to show how well he knew the rules, but still.
Sad you don't see them anymore, always love them.
I cant even remember the last time I saw one of those
At this day and age it would blow minds among casual viewers. "WTF is happening!?"

Never Forget.
That's not how dangerous play works.
If you knew the rules you would know that this is not necessarily true.Bunch of folks not familiar with the rules I see.
As long as Neuer punches the Ball first (which he did) he´s good to go.
