I decided to take the jump and purchase BBCP yesterday, I am not totally new to anime games having played a little of Persona 4 Arena and Guilty Gear, but I really enjoyed running through the tutorial. It's very thorough and beginner friendly for people starting out with airdasher/anime games. I would suggest BBCP for the tutorial alone if you are starting out. BBCP mechanics seem to have more movement/attack/mixup options than what I have seen in P4A and GG, but the tutorial does an excellent job at explaining all of them.

Also, this video series is worth watching as well if you are starting out. It uses GG as examples mostly, but the concepts apply to other games as well.

Actually, you know what, I think I'm just gonna abuse my power and remove it from OP. SRK and other big sites don't promote shady TOs and I guess we shouldn't either.

Players like Dieminion were sponsored by Broken Tier but then quit it for EMP. EMP is related to VxG and at one point the EMP players had the tag "VxG EMP |". Now both EMP and VxG are starting to fall apart which makes the reappearance of this gif even more hilarious as a player like Dieminion is probably going to be looking for a new sponsorship now.
