Pic's up
Pic of the day. The Levin sword and tomes are Robin's life lines. The Levin sword can be activated by using smash attacks--you can even activate these moves in midair! However, just like in the original game, the Levin sword can be used only a limited number of times before it breaks, at which point it takes some time to regenerate. When the Levin sword is unavailable, Robin fights using the bronze sword.
Changed my post, because I didn't realise identifying oneself as another gender was Transgendered.
Vivian would make an awesome female addition to the cast.
Where the is regular Samus?
The air-quotes over "female" are unnecessary. There's very little that's ambiguous about Vivian's gender identity.Changed my post, because I didn't realise identifying oneself as another gender was Transgendered.
Syrup's not that impossible; she was in a Wii game. For impossible choices, I'm still in favour of Kachi, Syrup and Melia.
Dark Samus is referred to as a she in the scans, probably because she has some of Samus' DNA.I would consider Dark Samus genderless.
Whoa, you gave it a cool froggy texture!so uh hey guys I made another thing. it's Greninja this time
Sheik got robbed too, but I figured maybe the audience avoided that to avoid the arguments.Where the is regular Samus?

...Um
Vivian is female, even though she's biologically male, so I think she would be a great addition.Oh dear...
It's a little more complicated than that. In the Japanese version, Vivian is described as "one of the Shadow Trio, Vivian appears to be a girl but is really a boy," and Goombella says, "that's Vivian. Of the Shadow Trio, she's the youngest sister... er, brother." But then, at the end, apparently Beldam and Marilyn start identifying her as female. The English version eliminates all the back-and-forth and just says she's female throughout.
Lore too complex.
Of course. I'm just saying that in the English version, there's nothing to suggest such a backstory, so to me, she's mentally and physically female.
These are really wicked screenshots. I love that the second one is just a feminized version of the same 'announcement' screenshot, haha.
So, tome explanation hopefully.

I was thinking this would be the update + an explanation but I didn't think Mr. Sakurai would just give us what we want two days in a row!

The way Robin launches Arcfire is kind of crazyhe or she calls down a bolt of flame from above, then launches a pillar of fire! By the way, Robins tome changes with each special attack.
It's the officially localized English version of the game. Yes, to me that trumps the original. You're buying into the censored version of the narrative then. Do you usually do that?
omg I didnt know that, how come he didnt do the first game? And also did anyone else translate the first game

That just raises further questions!
Well I got my answers, thanks Sakurai!
So it's like Olimar's Pikmin - every time you do a special, a different tome cycles in?
Midair smash attacks? Oh lawdy
That "Super Bash Sisters" pic got me thinking
What are some new FEMALE characters you think they might still add?

And I seem to recall the Japanese often treat this topic as kind of a joke, so is the "uncensored" version even something to champion from a progressive standpoint?
