Too complicated and there will be enough new standard editions arround that nobody would feel the need to buy mine. I wouldn't look at the physical extras from the LE anyway nor do I feel like will be missing out on the little extras in-game. I pay with euros on top of that, so that's not gonna work out either.

I'm expecting 120 euro, the regular version is up in Sweden for ~77 euro but hopefully it will be cheaper or I will buy it from US-PSN instead for less than the regular is up for in EU.

From what we can tell there will be no preload for north america for the beta.
It doesn't seem like there will be a preload for US.
I wish Sony weren't so fragmented when it comes to PSN stores.

As much as I love to hate EA, it must be noted that EA is the publisher not the developer. So you'd be more appropriate directing your anger about the lack of transparency with specific games toward those games' developers.
OT: I'm seriously tempted to only play an hour or two of the beta, just to get a glimpse of the game, so that I can still go into the full experience in Sep mostly fresh.

I'm actually glad for this in this generation. I get to have a physical copy of my game but also still have the fast loading from it installing the full game to the hard drive.

Is pre-loading an option for UK gamers? I pre-ordered the game during the Alpha, get an error message when I try to download the beta, and still don't have a beta code email. Is this just me, or is Bungie leaving this to the last minute for absolutely everyone?

Just preordered the digital deluxe version but haven't read too much on how the beta works...
Did you Pre-Order from PSN?
If so if you go to the store there should be a prompt in your downloads to download destiny.
If you have any issues delete the existing beta download in your queue, restart console then go back into the store and download again.
Note the initial install is only something like 178mb, so leave your PS4 on and the rest will be downloading away...

Question: How does the "limit of 3 players" thing work? I'm wondering because I have 3 friends I play with religiously. That makes us a group of 4, one over the "limit of 3" I keep hearing about. Is that a limit on all modes? Are we going to have to draw straws for Free Roam, Story, Strike and PvP? I thought the player limit of 3 was just for Strike missions... but I'm completely confused. So, question is, can I have a fire team of 4?

Deleting the beta from my download queue and then re-downloading it fixed the issue. How odd.
Do I still need to wait on a beta key through my email, or is it all automagic through PSN?
Pvp and Raids allow up to 6 members in a squad, rest of the game types use fireteams and that is 3 members max.

Anytime, I believe that you don't need a code, but if you do, it's said on the bungie FAQ it'll be emailed or messaged direct to your PSN.

Yeah it doesn't seem very smart to not allow a preload Psn is gonna implode. I don't have much confidence in the playststion network to offer fast download speeds.

It didn't implode or explode on Alpha day. I downloaded the full alpha in 50 minutes and it was 6.7 gb.
Beta will have waaaaaay more people, but they're still releasing the codes in waves. Should be fine.
This was on PS4 though. PS3 speeds have always been bad for me, even connected the same ethernet cable my PS4 is connected to (I just switch it back and forth).
In a way I do think it's smart, they're doing a strict test to see how the load will work for pre loading when destiny hits stores on september 9th.
I think that europe probably has far less people who opted to digital download (partly due to the ridiculous price)
So it's a decent test.
I wouldn't be surprised if that's why they didn't off US preloading, as simply it would either cause too much stress or the amount of EU players buying US would make the test unfair.
We also need to note this'll be the first major game with preload for a console...
That's just me talking as someone who has performed load/stress tests before.
Europe actually getting something over the US for once. It's rather refreshing.
Raids? What mode would that fall under? I thought there was (in PvE) there was just Free Roam, Story and Strike. Are those three limited to 3 players?
