edit - if you talking about the ships flying towards mars, that's just part of the loading if you're playing on the mars map

You have to have a flux capacitor then enter the konami code on the the destiny page then pick up the capacitor and spin around in a computer chair really fast and say hi ho hi ho off to the beta i wish to go then a code should appear to you in a vision.

Can't wait for this to start. If I could've voted in the poll it would have been for Hunter. That class seems to interest me most after everything I've read. I'll try warlock and titan afterward though too. I want to make sure that I'll know exactly what I'm going to go with on launch day so I can jump right in and start exploring and grinding.

Well they might throw in some more content right before the beta launches on Xbox One? I mean they have a 2 days maintenance (21st and 22nd?) and it would keep things fresh for the beta players on Xbox aswell.

From the US. Sorry, I don't have a screenshot. Just decided to sign in today seeing as Bungie.net was slightly updated for the Beta. I can only assume this means Xbox users may be able to pre-load the Beta? I tweeted Bungie and will try to respond if I get an answer before someone else does.

Anyone able to check to see if the same is true for them for Xbox 360 or Xbox ONE?

I have the 22nd for XBO as well, in the US. I assume it is pretty much a pre-load, just without the actual infrastructure to do it, since the BETA won't actually be playable, might as well let everyone DL it!

For certain parts of the game, yes

Edit: oh damn, I read that as PS4 for some reason. It's not necessary for PS3 since it's not required for multiplayer.

I'm still super hyped for the retail release but kind of bumped the beta doesn't seem to include any new PvE content.

If it really has the same level cap and areas as the Alpha there isn't much I haven't done except more PvP.

still looking forward to seeing all the Xbox users first impressions though. The first few hours in Destiny are magical.
