I hope so. There were no XP progress bars under the level 8s so personally I think 8 will be it to start with.

Completely agree. Also I've already noticed they've upgraded dinklages voice, it has some sort of robotic effect on it now. Sounds so much better now.
Redeem it on your bungie.net account. Then tomorrow, your beta code will be sent (If your on PS4/PS3 of course).

A digital version of Destiny pre-ordered, and beta downloaded. Tomorrow it's time to play, and go where all alpha participants have gone before. It was easier this way, as pre-ordering it from Amazon to get in the beta would have meant paying in advance, and getting the full game days after the release date. Plus, if this is going to be something I'll play for a long time, it's more convenient when you can just launch it from the HDD. Can't wait for tomorrow.

You have to log in to Bungie and check which console you want to play the game on...you should have got an e-mail about this a few days ago...then head back tomorrow to get the code that you will enter in your console of choice.
Fun fact: The "Ocean of Storms" is an actual name for a portion of the moon. Multiple spacecraft have landed there including Apollo 12 (which landed within 300 meters of Surveyor 3). I am hoping against hope that the descent stage of Apollo 12 is somewhere in the game.

This is me and at least one other person that I've noticed in the thread. I contacted Best Buy customer service and they said they sent the request to the back office but that could take up to 3-5 days. Call them asap.
If I don't end up getting the beta code soon I'll probably just cancel my preorder and end up waiting for the PC release or a big discount on the PS4 version. Part of my weird reason for preordering was to get in on this GAF beta action.

To be fair, a good portion of Halo Reach's MP maps were taken from SP.

Exactly. It's a question that is understandable. Bungie has done that in the past with Reach and it didn't go so well. So now for a couple releases or so this question will be asked. I know I'm glad to see dedicated MP levels again. I wasn't a huge fan of Reach and how it did recycle them into MP. It resulted in a lot of them not being very fun.
