Yep! It was so exciting when the new glitch was found so many years after the game came out.You can? Huh, I thought it was only through emulation that you could play as Master Hand.
This is probably it, because looking at them side by side like that there's clearly more differences than simply the angle or some minor animation. Body and hood are different sizes, hair has different textures, and the face proportions are different. One looks like old school 3D, the other looks like the more modern 3D, but either way they seem too similar to be in the same game. If it's not Wii U/3DS, then it probably has one base frame and you can select the game somehow to show evolution. Like having on Mario pose but being able to select a 64/Sunshine/Galaxy/3D World level of detail and design on it.
Preaching to the choir here. SmashGAF is generally much better about understanding/accepting subtle differences in Smash character gameplay/gameplay potential than other places I've been to. At least here I don't feel drowned out in a wave of "NO MORE SWORDS/FUCK SPACIES/KILL LUCAS/LUCARIO = MEWTWO" when talking about this stuff.
He's the Sakura to Fox's Ryu really. They share the same "attacks", yet have completely different animations and functions.
God I just love seeing the fiery Smash logo in the beginning of the trailers.
Same here. They are pretty cool, but I still wish that they would show Takamaru slashed the Logo.
That just makes me want low-poly Smash 64 styled alts for the entire cast.
no, you see Jigglypuff is stealth confirmed for not wearing clothes
...is that true?

It's probably nothing, but it would be an interesting way to incorporate the GamePad, & it would explain the more jagged movements of Ridley in the Smash Direct.
The Amiibo part also intrigues me, as it would add more incentive to get the figures.
Lucario also get wrongly blamed for Mewtwo getting dropped when was actually Sonic that did it.

Has this been posted yet? Robin's casting stance is based on the GBA mages.

Tripon you made my day.
I'd say that for Reflector and maaaaybe Fire Wolf/Wolf Shoot, but not for Claw Blaster and Wolf Flash. The only thing similar Claw Blaster has with Blaster is that it uses a gun, and the only thing similar Wolf Flash has with the Illusion is that it goes from point A to point B.
Wolf is definitely not subtly different from Fox, he's pretty much entirely different.
No, he's not. Sakura and Ryu both have similar movesets. Wolf and Fox do not. Wolf is the Chun-Li to Fox's Ryu. They share some similar concepts for special moves, but they are entirely different in their normals.
Fox mostly uses his feet for attacking (iirc only his Jab uses his fists), Wolf mostly uses his claws (he has only a few kick moves and all of them are completely different from Fox's equivalents).
I went with Sakura since, just like how Wolf is from the same series as Fox, she's part of the same fight style as Ryu. Though Chun-Li does work as a better substitute in the analogy. Or maybe even Sagat once I think about it.
Sure. Now have some more. Again, these may have already been posted.

sakura's hadoken is a modified ryu's hadoken, sakuras tatsu and dp are modified ryu dps
the comparison is apt
I wouldn't be surprised if Wolf was in the same boat as Lucas, who started out development as a complete clone and was altered to be more unique when they realized they had more time.
Wasn't Wolf one of the last characters to be added? He must be one lucky dog then.

I remember the speculation pre-Brawl being that Wolf could use some of the heavy weapons from Star Fox Assault. Like the HOMING LAUNCHER, MACHINE GUN, SNIPER RIFLE, GRENADE... not sure if they necessarily fit the more "feral" Wolf we have now. Giving him a heavy weapon instead of a blaster might help diversify him at least. Maybe he could steal some of Snake's moves? Give him Homing Launcher as a new Down B, Grenade as a new Neutral B, call in some Wolfens for a Final Smash and I doubt you'd get any more clone complains.
Thing is, that would make sense if we're comparing say, PK Fire and PK Freeze, or Mario's Fireball and Luigi's Fireball. Claw Blaster and Blaster has much more changes than simply altering stats/effects, from melee damage to weight and knockback. Same with Wolf Flash.
I concede with Fire Wolf and Reflector, but even then we see Smash reusing the same concept (directional recovery and "defensive").
Thats what I believe, since FE is like Pokemon in that characters keep changing.I wonder if at some point Chrom was supposed to be playable and then they cut him. That would explain the leak's mistake.
they're both blue, close enough /s
A bit off-topic but does anyone think we will be able to use the Gamecube adapter for Wii games that use the controller like Brawl?
lol, Kirby with the Marth mask is pretty good.
Oooo maybe vc gamecube games? Hope it works for brawlGo Nintendo has scans of the recent Smash reveal. Lucina wears her Marth Mask! And so does Kirby!
And Go Nintendoalso reports that Best Buy says this about the Gamecube adapter for Wii U. :O
But he's a wolf.

You can charge (and aim in some games) Sakura's hadouken, and that's already a big change from Ryu's hadouken. Her tatsumaki is multihit (depending on which version used) and goes on a forward jumping arc while Ryu goes straight forward and is single hit. Sakura's shoryuken has a running start and is multihit, while his isn't.
Sakura's specials, even if they all act and look really different, are clearly inspired by Ryu's specials. Just like how Wolf's B moves are inspired by Fox's moves even if they're different in how they function and appear.
