So Stark's still in.
Ant Man is back in.
Medusa and Dethlok getting added makes sense.
Angela...OK and it seems she won't be Thor. Maybe it is Sif.
Wonder why Bucky isn't Cap again.
Who's the fire guy? Sunfire?

Fire guy is probably Daimon Hellstorm, the Son of Satan.

This isn't a team lineup, just an image meant to represent the third phase of Marvel NOW! books, called Avengers NOW! Medusa and the flame guy are meant to represent the current Inhuman book, presumably, though it's also possible that it'll be getting a relaunch since Marvel botched the first one.

Marvel has some big changes in store for Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man. While their corporate siblings over at Marvel Studios prepare to reunite the Big Three onscreen in next year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Marvel Comics will debut radical new looks for the three most iconic Avengers. It’s all part of a much larger initiative known as Avengers NOW!, which will see the debut of new Big Three books and several other new ongoing series.

In November, Superior Iron Man #1 sends Tony Stark to San Francisco with a new outfit and a new perspective on life. “The Genius Bar costume is there for a reason,” Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso tells EW. “The newly-transformed Superior Iron Man has very ambitious plans for the city that some of its residents embrace, but not all.” Comic book fans will note the very pointed addition of the word “Superior” to the title. The last time that happened, it was Superior Spider-Man, and Doctor Octopus took over Peter Parker’s brain. Doc Ock won’t be invading Tony’s frontal lobe, but Alonso does note, “Like the Superior Spider-Man, Superior Iron Man is a character that’s hard to root for.” The series is written by Tom Taylor and drawn by Yildiray Cinar.
'
Also in November comes All-New Captain America #1. As has been hinted elsewhere, Steve Rogers will find himself unable to take up the mantle of Captain America, leaving someone else to put on the stars and stripes in his place. Because the new Cap appears to be African-American, most experts think it will be Sam Wilson, a.k.a. the Falcon, Cap’s friend and longtime partner. Alonso doesn’t confirm or deny, though he does note that the character in the image above has “what appears to be something that allows him the gift of flight.” He also says that All-New #1—written by Rick Remender and with art by Stuart Immonen—will be “very much a jumping-on point [for people] who both like the Captain America and really enjoyed the second Captain America movie.” (Which featured Anthony Mackie as the Falcon.)

But all those changes pale in comparison to what’s going on in October’s Thor #1. In the new series written by Jason Aaron and drawn by Russell Dauterman, there’s a whole new Thunder God–or Goddess, rather. It all comes out of the Original Sin story arc. “For reasons that will be revealed in Original Sin, Thor won’t be able to pick up the hammer,” says Alonso. “Someone has to pick up the hammer. And someone does. And they become Thor.” That someone is a lady—who precise identity won’t be revealed immediately. “There are several women in Thor’s life, and one of them is going to be the new Thor. You aren’t going to find out who it is for some time. This is a slowly unfolding mystery.”

Endangering the world by trying to manipulate a force for cosmic destruction to save your race isn't good. wtf?

Saving the world by letting the Phoenix do what it came to do. Also he was working on future knowledge from Cable that if the Avengers took Hope the earth would have been wiped out.

Even after the Avengers did their best to fuck things up everything happened the way Cyclops said it would. Phoenix powered Hope brought back the mutants

Cyclops was right.

Fire guy is called Dante, a new Inhuman created from recent Terrigen Mist mess.

Marvel going Craaaaaaaaaaazy

too many changes and inconsistencies

I give it 2 years minimum before everything gets rebooted

Next year's big event is about time catching up to the Marvel heroes. Every book has had time travel in it starting with the X-Men coming to the future. I think all of this leads up to the event and something huge is happen. Money's on soft reboot.

and yes everyone knows CYCLOPS WAS RIGHT.

Cyclops was right.

Which was different this time because ??????

For all everyone knew the phoenix was still a force for destruction. Cyclops pulls the "Phoenix as a saviour of the mutant race" thing completely out of his ass. Whether he was right or not, endangering the earth on a plan like that is the actions of a madman.

Isn't Wasp back, what is she up to?

With the Uncanny Avengers which considering Steve, Logan and Thor were in it, they might get shaken up.

Also notice the lack of Pete and Hulk. Considering the whole time runs out stuff. Be prepared for a reboot but not a big one, just a fresh start but still in continuity with the past.

This will last all of a year before the Super Soldier serum is magically re-discovered and Steve Rogers becomes Cap again.

It's stuff like that why I'm not able to get into comic books. Anything that could be remotely shocking or unexpected will be retconned or fixed a year or so later, making any big changes or develpments moot.

It's hard to be "surprised" at things like a death in comics when you know they'll just come back a few years down the road (If it even takes that long).

.

IIRC people all over the world died when mutants were being powered back. Their was fire raining down, causing disasters, and some people didn't survive the process of turning into mutants at the end of AVX. So the way that mutants were coming back is pretty less than ideal (understatement).

It's justified forcing people to become mutants if we ignore the beaks and glob hermans!

It can also lead to some pretty entertaining stories, like I've found reading the Superior Spiderman run.

Because the Phoenix is a force of nature and CAN'T be stopped and Cyclops had advanced knowledge from his time traveling son. The fact that Hope has been trained quite literally her whole life to be a Phoenix host.

Of course Cap and the Avengers would have known this if they had just elected to talk to Cyclops and share information instead if showing up on his door step with a shield helicarrier and 3 dozen super-powered humans and every gun pointed at him.

Or you know.... Ask Rachel Summers! Seeing as she hosted the Phoenix for years and never went dark or lost control.

Pfft. Cap has nothing on Spider-Man

Spidey wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't bound to status quo (never ending will-they-won't-they with MJ, constantly making him backtrack on any progress in his professional life) and if they get someone other than fucking slott to write it. Hell, he got a gold concept with Superior Spider-Man and he still managed to make drama feel shoehorned with everyone breaking character.

Yeah these sort of things have kinda been building for a while. The cover of Avengers #35 hinted at these changes coming.

More Unworthy Thor and Falcon Cap on the cover.

oh shit Thor has old man thor's metal arm!!!, also while I respect the move to give it to sam because as Steve's best friend (who hasn't brainwashed him twice) it makes sense he would give him the shield and title. However it would of been cooler in my opinion if they gave it to patriot from young avenger

The Summers family tree is weird. Even worse there's two Jeans running around.

Was there a single shred of evidence that the phoenix was a force for causing mutations before cyclops claimed it though? Or was he truly playing with fire to save his race?

IIRC all that shit was fixed by the Phoenix. IIRC all that happened because of Tony and Captain America trying to kill the Phoenix in the first place else.

More people lost their lives when Wanda depowered mutants. Not they anyone ever holds her accountable for those people's deaths.

The Phoenix was coming to earth specifically to reactivate the mutant gene. Nothing was going to stop it. Of course that didn't

Cyclops was right.

I AM Groot?
I don't like Uncanny, okay? First arc and the hobo piss comment by Remender left a bad taste. I dropped the book right when the 2nd arc began. I gave it another shot and I'm still not one of the people who think it's a great book. Last month's issue was an unfocused mess.
And I feel like I owe you an explanation after that fuck off comment you made to me, but I really don't. I did it anyways because it looks like I have to to get you off my back.

proof on the deathcount

Literally every appearance of Wanda in recent memory has someone guilt tripping her over M-day. Hell, Rogue does it every other panel in Uncanny Avengers.

The Phoenix didn't cause mutation it was there to undo the fuckery that the Scarlett Witch did during M-Day. "No More Mutants"

Fuck a guilt trip. When she de-powered people motherfuckers lost their lives. Woman who could fly plumeted to the ground, dude who could walk through fire burned to death.

Cyclops possessed by a cosmic entity killed Professor X, while getting mind raped and fighting for his life he was unceremoniously tossed in jail after he returned to normal.
