So I'm guessing these sub groups option are part of the system tools Bungie created for groups/clans? That's the alliance thing posters are mentioning? So every subgroup is actually under DGaf on the site? if so that's really cool!

That's what I see on the site. I was approved for DestinyGAF group, went to the left taskbar and hit clans. Then it gave me the option to select West Coast Clan. Sent the request on the website then posted here that I had done so. Shep had me approved in 3 minutes. These admins rock, man.

Wait, what kind of voodoo is happening here? So now I'm no longer part of that older DestinyGAF PS4 group I mentioned earlier. It seems all members were just removed within the last few minutes. Hmmm. Yeah, so now I'm in no groups.

DestinyGAF PS4 is old and dead. We are now just DestinyGAF with sub clans divided by region.
 
Very confused right now.

So I've been accepted into the main DestinyGAF group but it said I'm not approved for the Central NA group :S.

Also, do I only set as Xbox/PlayStation for main or regional?

That group has been defunct for a while. DestinyGAF is the only main group: http://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Detail/100661

Then join one of the regional ones.

You are likely still pending. All central applications are on hold until the admin approving comes back. Apologies and we appreciate your patience.

Also only set your Xbox/Playstation clan in your regional group once your in.
 
I don't understand, should I "set as Playstation Clan" on DestinyGAF East Coast NA, if I already "set as Playstation Clan" in the DestinyGAF Clan?

Damn Visceral great OP. Also to those doing the images and the designs, fan-fucking-tastic job as well everything looks amazing. I really do hope the clan max isn't 75 max per console per group. Bungie couldn't be this evil could they?

Preferably set it to regional but it is up to you. There were only 75 spots in the main DestinyGAF clan, which is why the regional clans were introduced. So it is your choice.

Haha, didn't get the memo. Sorry for the confusion I know you guys are getting hammered. Well, I requested entry to the new main. My id/PSN is breakfuss. I'll hunt down the east coast clan now.

You guys are doing great, I'll help with applications tomorrow whenever I can. I'll join TheWorthyEdge in the central US one since I do want to be in the same clan as my buddy who didn't get to join the main one. I'll leave you to it for now.
