All I want to be able to do is easily locate and team up with people from here while I'm online. I'm assuming it would work like GTA and I will see my clan members. But am I in a clan now? No, I do not believe so. This is a group. So what I would like to know is how to set that up. Is the NA East 2 thing a clan???? Or group? And why did NA East 1 have a cap but not DestinyGAF?

You can only have 75 members per clan. So 75 psn members and 75 xbox members. When you get accepted to the sub group na east 2. Go to that group and then click on the psn or xbox clan button in the header of the sub group page.

Eventually the admins will unite all the clans to the main gaf group and we'll all be part of an alliance.

Preferably set it to regional but it is up to you. There were only 75 spots in the main DestinyGAF clan, which is why the regional clans were introduced. So it is your choice.

Ah thanks, was going to ask the same. I'm in the original DGAF clan but I'll go ahead and switch to AusNZ clan instead.

I don't know how I missed your post, lol, but I just finally made sense of it all. Thank you for the explanation!

I think I finally understand this. FINALLY. Clicking 'join clan' in the group places you in the clan. There is no member cap for groups. However There is a cap for clans. Hence NA East #1, #2 etc. If I have that correct my remaining question is how it distinguishes between PS3 and PS4.

As of right now. Because of Bungie crappy group/clan system there is no way to differentiate between PS3 and PS4. Xbox 360 and Xbox One. All we can hope for is that we complain enough that they'll change the system. right now. we just have to adapt the best that we can.

Ok everyone there is some initial confusion about the clan caps and the new regional groups. So - each group can only support 75 members for each platform. Obviously that is nowhere near enough for DestinyGAF to handle. So, new, smaller groups will be formed based on region (and regional timezones in the case of large continents). Each of these groups will be joined with DestinyGAF as part of an alliance, so we will all be part of DestinyGAF as a whole, just people will be in regional clans.

So here are some basic instructions on how to get started:

1) If you are new and you have not yet joined DestinyGAF, go to the following web page, apply and then post here that you have joined DestinyGAF. http://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Detail/100661

2) If you are now a member of DestinyGAF or were previously before today, you can select to join one of the following regional clans. Please once you put your application in, again post below and state what region you applied for.

You need to be in both groups. If you got into a clan in the primary group before it was closed then you can stay in that.
