I can't take the wait any longer :( Been dying to try this since it was first announced and missed out on the alpha (also decided to keep away from footage so I can experience it myself the first time)

If there is room in DGAF I'd love to sign myself up!
 
Ugh, I really really hate that everyone was not permitted to pre-load. I can see it now, 12:00 PTD will arrive, and my code will have not... maybe by 4:00 it'll arrive, then 13 GB download later, I'm playing well after 5:00. Ugh.

I hate to feel entitled, but c'mon.

I managed to keep linking/unlinking to google and facebook until I managed to somehow link my Microsoft account with my PSN account. Can't recall how I did it for the life of me, but I settled for that. It nearly stopped me applying for the beta code.
 
When I'm being hostile you'll know because the usual curse words that make up like 10-20% of my vocabulary will fucking drop to like 5% as I Google some high ass vocabulary words to bring down the Oxford dictionary pain.

I understand your comments, but this isn't to do with resources this is to do with Bungie being a damn good developer and wanting to stay in control in their game and making sure when it actually releases on september 9th it'll be the best it can be.

Your mobile game comment is very silly, I have never seen a beta for one....

If you've never seen a beta for a mobile game (I've worked on 15+) I'm sorry but that says more about your argument than mine.

Bungie is a great developer, I've many friends there. But this is not an Indie game -- ATVI signed up a $300M+ 10 year publishing agreement, and PlayStation is lending major platform support -- I'm not sure what you're getting at by saying this "Isn't a published project". It has benefited from major publisher and platform support for several years.

Being so region/timezone specific (Xbox in general being the worst offender typically) is inexcusable marketing a global, paid product in this day and age IMHO.

It's poorly designed.

Open account with the one you want to de-link either PSN or Xbox from. In your profile link an email. Log out of that profile log back in to the same profile but use the email as
Your login. Now go into profile and delink either PSN or Xbox. Log out

Open account you want to use and link.

I pre-ordered the Digital Guardian Edition on PSN.

How do I get the beta? I was under the impression that I should be seeing something on my PS4 by now.
 
If anyone is up for any early morning play (CST) this weekend, definitely add me. PSN is same as GAF. My dog doesn't care if it's Saturday. She wants out around 6:00 am. So I'll be up and full of coffee around 8:00 am or so.

You should get a notification from Sony. It's the little megaphone icon at the bottom of the notifications menu. It'll pop up and tell you, at least it did for the alpha.

I haven't had exposure for Mobile game beta's I have only really been in around 10+ closed beta's and a lot of open beta's (usually I feel those are more marketing than anything) So I can't really argue the mobile gaming points you made.

What I am saying is that even though yes it has had an influence of support by the publisher and yes sony is lending a massive amount of resource, the data that they can collect will be not as significant to Bungie, and I feel that they would want to gather all information by themselves. I do believe that if bungie had offices across multiple sites like ubisoft do they would be better prepared to support a beta opening with multiple time zones attached buy as they don't they're sticking to their normal hours, although I'm sure many of the guys at bungie haven't seen normal working hours in quite a while.

Sure it maybe inexcusable, but I would much rather wait and play the Beta and actually contribute something toward Bungie making Destiny a great and stable game.
 
So, if I redeem my code online while at work, can I have my wife turn on PS3 and it will download the beta? I have PSN+ if that matters.
 
Are clans broke atm?

I was in the Neogaf one a good while back but now it isn't showing me in any, if I go to join the Neogaf one I get an error.

Do you mind if I can get it for my friend? If other AsiaGAFers are wanting it, then they're better off though, since my friend probably won't buy Destiny anyway, just thought it'd be nice to let him try it.

His post before that sounded pretty accusatory, imo. But, it's all good, seems I misunderstood. Still sucks you can't even digital pre-order the game. Guess I'll have to wait until that shows up... then buy the expansion pass separately.
 
So does it seem like some territories are getting codes? I've seen an italian and now asian territory person say they got a code. Just to clarify we are talking a DL code on your Bungie.net? If so.. It'shappening.gif??

Asia got it last night, because we got the codes not from Bungie, but from Sony directly.
