So basically you gotta keep playing the highest level of Co-Op to try and get better weapons/armor through those green Encrypted Engrams, am I getting this right?

Also, WTF is up with the Devil Walker? Exactly, how many rounds, grenades and supers do I have to fire at that guy to get it killed?

Focus on one leg, destroy it, it's head portion pops up. Use heavy weapon to destroy that part. Should take less than 5-10 minutes with some competency.
 
I've only played the story mode (I'm level 6) but I'm really liking the game so far. The only multiplayer I've really played at all before this was Uncharted 2, otherwise it's been strictly single player for me. So I don't know how much I'll enjoy the PvP but I'm excited to try it.

As for the main game, it reminds me of Borderlands but that's doing the game a disservice really. Destiny is more fun and much, much better overall. I'm addicted to all the upgrading and so far it has a great sense of progression with good upgrades.

Again I have yet to play the pvp, but if I can get into that I could see this easily being my GOTY.

If you go the crucible, you can hover over each of the games and read the descriptions. There's Clash, Rumble, Combined Arms, Skirmish, and Salvage in addition to Control, the current gamemode open in Beta.
 
most of the top scorers on that leaderboard are hunters. pro class confirmed.

Really curious to see what kind of ranking system Bungie puts in the Game.

I would give many monies for a Halo 3 style ranking system. That was addictive in so many ways.

Personally, I feel there's some unspoken expectation for absurd amounts of content in Destiny. Some of it can be blamed on Bungie somewhat, given that they did initially open up the Destiny reveal with a ton of location concept art.

IMO, if I take the current content of the beta, add an extra 20-30% to account for the places currently being blocked off ( King's Watch, etc), and then quadruple that amount across the 5 confirmed locations ( Earth, Moon, Reef, Venus, Mars)... That is not a small amount of content by any means. And above that, there's PvP (Crucible) and the Vanguard as well. And we can't be absolutely certain that there aren't stuff that's still being somewhat kept under wraps.

IMO, even looking at the minimal expectations of Destiny, I don't think it'll be short of content by any reasonable stretch of the means. Maybe compared to Skyrim or GTAV, but I'm not going to fault Bungie too much if there isn't insane amount of stuff for the first-game.
 
Hunter iron banner cloak is worth full game purchase!

Can't wait to drop my Beta warlock and go back to hunter for full game.

Wonder when iron banner will be open after launch?

What gear are you guys rocking in pvp for now?

Main: Full-auto Assault Rifle
Secondary: Sniper Rifle
Heavy: Machine Gun


This and the Masterchief Collection are gonna be the end of me this fall, jeez
 
Looking for a Crucible group. No one I have added is on right now.

My pvp score are always at last 5 page of Destiny tracker and negative scores are always at first 3 pages.

Damn, I'm so bad at this game.

I'm partial towards the Sahara AR-3 myself. It's practically a mini Machine Gun, while having good enough stability to rock headshots without needing to be ammo conservative.

So I got into the Iron Banner with a level 2 character last night by joining a friend in progress. The whole "attack/defense matters" thing didn't make much sense as my level 2 autorifle was taking out level 8 guys just as quick as ever. I don't really get how it works.
 
Several hours in and I still don't understand what I'm doing, why I'm doing it, or why I should care

and yet I'm still playing

So what was everyone's thoughts on iron banner? Were the advantages noticeable? I have mixed feelings about it. I don't get to play til wed, so I have no real opinon on it first hand. I have seen some if the gear from it and that looks pretty cool.

I wonder how it will work In The final game. Like a weekly challenge type thing or what.
 
When I first saw "Dry Sea" I always thought you were going to be at the bottom of the ocean floor except all the water has been dried up. Welp :p. That would have been a very interesting location.

To be honest not a fan of it. It was noticeable. It was almost impossible to kill some folks. So yea not a fan. Overall I'm enjoying the MP with groups but some of the maps suffer from the same problems Halo: Reach had which is no real map flow due to the abilities and multiple layers. While I love the Mars Skybox and look of the level really dislike it gameplay wise.
