At first, I was thinking of getting this game on the PS4 with how beautiful it looks. However, I got into the PS3 beta too and I'm impressed. I have more friends on the PS3 version.

Anyone playing on the PS3? Thoughts? Comments? Aside from the framerate and the inventory's slow loading, I can't complain.

I may get both versions >.>

What's with the first 2 bounties for the Iron Banner? You need to have the shader equipped but it needs Level 20 to equip, so those are worthless I assume unless the description is wrong.

Oh, I'm playing as a Titan. And doing fine. It's just the most messy, chaotic, barely designed crap I've played in awhile.

I haven't played many online FPS games, SOCOM and SOCOM II were the last ones, so the PvP in this game is okay by me. I enjoy it; I'm just terribad.

Like XBL, most people party chat on PSN. No one wants to suffer the public channel. Or maybe that's just me.

Of course, but in Strike no one talked. No one talks in PvP. I mean all you have to do is plug in the damn mic and you're on... ain't that difficult. And it would be great for tactics, etc.

moon map is now my new favorite

Funny, Mars is easily my favorite map so far.

I'd say lind Watch > Rusted Lands > Shores of Time >>> First Light

Different strokes I guess. I immediately fell in love with Shores of Time, but Rusted Lands has a place in my heart as well. We definitely agree on First Light though and I'm starting to come around on Mars, I guess it was just an initial impression even though I got my first place bounty on it for Iron Banner.

Playing the beta on PS3. Game looks good and runs relatively well. The inventory loading can be a pain sometimes, I wanted to switch weapons quickly but the guns wouldn't load in fast enough so I had to stick with what I had equipped.

The Hunter super feels a bit lacking in PvP next to how good and more importantly easy to land the others are, saw two hunters pop golden gun and one lock novaed them, was amusing.

Sort of "broke", any good ways to farm glimmer?

After playing Blind Watch more, I'm completely convinced the map is poorly balanced. If you start on Bravo team, you get C right away. C and B are infinitely easier to hold than A and B. The only way to actually win as Alpha if the other team is competent at all is to try and capture C forcing the enemy team to switch spawns with you. ie, they spawn at A you spawn at C. If not, you're shit out of luck and can mark it down as a loss.

fffffffffffffffff

tell me how

completely random to be honest...picked it up the first night of the beta...one of my friends that was in my fireteam got it i believe at damn near the same time...might have even been the same mission we were on at the time...

i THINK it was from picking up one of the encrypted things you turn in at the tower...but im not sure

Yeah its impossible to play Iron Banner when everyone has better weapons than you.

I can already see PvP turning into a shotgun camp fest, shame really.

Gg though, I suck :p

I just had the biggest turn around with this game. At first I was pretty interested in Destiny, but I wouldn't say I was overly excited or anything. Anyways I try the Alpha and my experience was pretty negative due to crashing in tense firefights, (although that is to be expected and forgiven in an Alpha) along with (what I thought was) poor balancing. I remember having a Wizard act as a bullet sponge in the alpha, and I also did not enjoy doing the three team co-op mission where you have horde mode style waves, simply because the encounter for the team took 30 minutes to complete and this was after multiple retries.

Long story short I thought the game was good in the Alpha, but I got pretty frustrated with it and I would've written the game off. But due to how much a lot of people on GAF loved the alpha, along with my friends trying to coax me into playing the beta with them, I decided to give the game another chance. After playing it the last few days, it is still the same game I played in the Alpha, but I've been having a lot more fun with it. Some of the nuances are clicking for me more this time, and the difficulty curve and balance is far far better than what I experienced in the Alpha. I'm definitely back on board for this game if I keep having this much fun with the beta!
Now I look like a fool for saying I won't buy the game after Activision revealed the two DLC expansions.

I still think people have no idea how to play control, it's like they don't understand what the symbols mean for each zone. You get a whole team rushing into one zone and leave the other ones they have unattended. Its arathi basin all over again.

With all these over lvl 8 drops, has bungie hinted at whether characters will roll over into release version?

Also, got a lvl 9 blue auto rifle, fuck you bungie lol
