I LOVE the exploration in this game. This game REALLY rewards exploration. They really put these unique environments to use, and gives you a reason to search every crack and nook because they stash loot chest every damn where.
Just going around in one particular area, i been finding loot chest none stop, getting all types of gear and lots of glimmer, just got 3000 more glimmer for like an hour worth of exploration in the ship grave yard. I've become a straight treasure hunter.
I love how the chest spawns at a completely random location, making every time you explore that location, a whole new experience because you never know where the next chest is going to be.
It makes hunting for these chest very fun and rewarding.
Some of the chest are is places thats not easy to get too and one wrong step and your dead.
Even in areas you already checked, come back, and there a loot chest there.
I took some pictures of all the chest I found with a 1.5 hour treasure hunt. SO MANY LOOT CHEST!!!! I been having fun just treasure hunting.
I am very, VERY excited to see the other areas of this game if they are rewarding exploration like this. you guys gotta check this out. If your short on glimmer, go treasure hunting, its actually fun to do. Those pictures should give you an idea on just how fucking well hidden these chest are, some are in straight plain view, like on a cliff high up a mountain that requires careful platforming to get to.
Me and my friend were treasure hunting last night, and even though we couldnt chat, we would "POINT" out the chest once we find it. So he'd find one, and he would use the point emote and it shows up on my screen that he is pointing, so I would run over to em and get the chest as the chest is shared.

Not only is the combat and gear grind is fun, but also the exploration/treasure hunt is fun. Im even more excited about this game now.
