Nintendo Downloads - July 2014

Speaking of. My 64 GB micro sd card is full and am needing to go to 128 GB.

Anyone wanting a 64 GB micro as card with adapter for cheap?

SanDisk Ultra 64GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS Memory Card Speed Up To 30MB/s With Adapter

I've been vaguely considering upgrading from 16 GB since I'm getting close to full, and I was thinking of just going 64 since I'd probably be set with that for the life of the system. How cheap are we talking?

Fixed your fix of a fix.
Fire Emblem went on sale - bundle discount with Persona 4.
Wait wait wait wait wait. What? That's the most awesome sale ever of all time. What was the pricing? By the time I'm done with the 3DS, I'm going to have the most awesomely concentrated Me-Approved games all physically. An amazing library for a system I don't actually own. Ideally, this library consists of...
Zelda : ALBW, Mega Ten 4, Persona Q, Bravely Default, Final Fantasy : Curtain Call, Fire Emblem Awakening, and another 4 or more extremely high quality
Japanese
games. I'd say I was adverse to Nintendo properties but imagine my surprise when one day
a couple of months ago
I realized Fire Emblem was actually a Nintendo property. That Phoenix Wright game along with that mega-post of recommendation and prime candidates. Hell, I'll probably end up trading in Kirby if I don't regard it as worthy,
also I don't know if I like it yet
or one of my favorite games ever. Gonna try and concentrate my 3DS library into a personal greatest hits rather than the scattershot that is my literally everything else library.
Since it was capitalized, I read this as Wisdom Tree

Oh you know... auto-correct...

Oops, sorry, with Shin Megami Tensei 4.
$30 voucher with purchase of both
So I suppose not technically a "discount," but instead a "rebate."
Ah well.
That's pretty great. You could buy Bravely Default with that money for the ultimate 3DS JRPG Combo. Speaking of 3DS funds...

I bought Bravely Default with Target Credit from trading in Killzone and Soul Sacrifice. And those games I traded in, I got for free for some reason or another. Then, I bought Zelda and Kirby (Soon to be Fire Emblem?) and using some deals and something or others, basically got them for -$20. So I have 4 great 3DS games... for -$20. I'm doing something right. Even though, if I trade Kirby for FE:A, it'll be $0. Which somehow sounds more impressive...

You should go ly dow, :p

Also, what's "for an NES game" supposed to mean?
Simply that for the spectrum of quality that an NES game could be, Bible Adventures was really not at the low end, and probably is Wisdom Tree's best game that they ever was able to release. The spritework, scrolling, physics, and the gameplay design were not too shabby among licensed* games.

NSMBU or Pikmin 3?

NSMBU if you like platformers

Pikmin 3 if you like strategy type games.

Two different games, both HIGHLY enjoyable, just a matter of what your feeling like getting into. NSMBU is really really easy though, so that may turn you off. Pikmin isn't that hard but it trumps NSMBU on difficulty.

Leaning towards Pikmin 3 but I'm not really sure. Is there any chance Nintendo will release NSMBU + Luigi other than in bundles?

My money's on Zero Mission this week. Come ooooon Lady Luck.
???

How long will Cool As J roam around the A Link Between Worlds Overworld aimlessly before he finds the next dungeon? Will he ever warm up to Kirby? Why do people hate Bravely Defaults 2nd half (Don't tell me. I still don't know why. I'd rather find out for myself)? Does Mega Ten 4 ever stop being such a grind? All this and more next time on,

Hope they have some way to do a direct link between the games, so we don't have to enter in that painfully long password...
We're going to have to enter in that painfully long password =(
Personally I can think of one thing worse. Releasing the FIGS versions of the Lost Age. I would imagine the passwords from the English version up on the eShop are incompatible (why they forgot the FIGS translation I don't know, the Spanish/Italian Pokemon Trading card game is a similar dropping of the ball).

edit: forgot to add: there's four weeks of this, games for the first week are in the pic below.

I must have missed the part where Urban Champion was in NES remix. That would be the worst unlock ever.

Well these are the same people that took forever to bring us Super Mario Bros 3 and still haven't given us Super Mario Kart. So they'll probably get here when Fatal Frame does. :/

I'm just hoping they'll give us the NES VC discounts that Europe is getting this week. But they've taught me not to expect much.

Yes, I'm getting Pokémon Link Battle for 5€, was interested before but now it's must have.

This reminds me, did Battle Network even get FIGS translated, if it is the US version...
makes me wonder why Super Metroid needs to be 50Hz forced subtitles crap if they're just going to decide to drop existing non-English versions in games with much more text.

30% off the bigger NES vs. 50% off the rest. Almost suggests the prices of the games should have been tiered to start off with.

Pokemon Link is definitely bought though. As Iwata feared I will wait for sales but at the same time will buy when it is on sale rather than buy when I have time to play.

Has anyone bought a generic Wii Classic Controller, like this one? Is it actually functional? I want to use coins for Paper Mario but couldn't play it otherwise and kinda defeats the purpose of a free game to drop $30-50 on a controller. Really annoying that you can't use the Pro Controller for Wii VC games...

http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Controller-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B004JKZUJI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405930232&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+classic+controller
Why would a classic controller cost $30-$50? Unless you are adding in the cost of a Wii remote, which the generic one also needs.

Oh I see. Ignore those Amazon prices for the official classic controllers, they are completely shot up in price (probably that whole Amazon don't stock Nintendo thing). Gamestop has classic controller pros for $20. I'm sure other retailers might have as well.

As for that generic one. It is a counterfeit. It is a cheap for a reason. Expect stiff analogues, cheap plastic, shoddy circuitry and various quality control failings (that is there being no QC, got to make it cheap, right?). Seriously don't buy those pieces of crap.

Is the first Battle Network game worth going back to for someone who's played 3 and 4?

It's not too bare-bones or anything?
I think it holds up well myself. It's a little different but it's still a pretty full-featured game. The biggest flaw is that all the Internet areas (only the home internet, not the "dungeons") all have the same theme, and the layout is a mess, so it's very confusing without a map.

And I believe they would choose the US version even if it had a translation because Ubisoft published it here, and their logo pops up when you start it so I'd guess they don't want to bother.

Really intrigued by Wooden Sen'Say. As always though I'm waiting for reviews/impressions and the inevitable sale down the line.

Very nice, I'll get all of them. They should probably point out that Battle Network is not on 3DS, that image is a bit misleading.

Yeah, why put the 3DS logo, actually? I mean, they're already available on the 3DS eShop, no need to put it again... Wonder when Europe will get the Mega May games, by the way.

Overall, pretty good week. Definitely picking up Siesta Fiesta, looks pretty fun and perfect for short gameplay sessions.

Pick it up to try it, but BN1 is pretty poorly designed compared to the rest of the series. The fix most of the issues (confusing maps, battle system) with BN2 onward. Growing pains with a new series.

Really need a collection of the series on DS/3DS with link capability, but alas, Capcom...

Does it? That's a shame it looks pretty amazing

Yeah, but the reviews didn't give me the impression it is utterly trash or something. Rather that it has a great concept behind it but the execution is not polished enough. Which might not bother me. I wonder if they changed anything in the Wii U version.
