I'm still confused about the MP balance. Does finding a "better gun" in the wild actually benefit a player as much as the weapon's stats indicate?

It depends. A better gun as far as the damage number alone? No. A better gun as far as it has better additional abilities (bottom half of the mag does more damage, scope attachments, etc) and better stats (firerate, stability, impact, magazine size, range), yes.

Yet another reason Hunter > All.

It made me smile that the ones who found this Glitch are all Hunters (in this video at least). We really are always watchful.

Didn't find the other cool propaganda poster.

I have just assumed impact means damage. Well damn. Then I well definitely struggle since I won't get to play too much while at school.

I'm telling you it works and I've been a part of multiple thousand point comebacks because of it. It's pretty much a Battlefield technique. The team doesn't rush from point to point, they sweep to the next point making sure nothing gets through. And it's not obvious as no one planned it, it just happens organically once a team gets pushed to a certain point. It's gotten to the point where if my team is far behind early, I expect us to get even by the end of the match.

Of course not, but I've yet to have a match with randoms that has had a lockdown for more than a few seconds. If you have an organized fire team, then yea you can trust your teammates to do their part, but in randoms, the best you can hope for is people to get fed up with the back stabbing and just be thorough on their way to the next point. And usually it happens.
I've had some good experiences with Randoms on the beta...some bad as well. It's all up to chance.

That Battlefield strategy might work on those that aren't too into the MP because I cant see how that would be effective to anybody that eventually catches on. That's me tho so it probably could and I'm missing it. However, as we mentioned all it takes is one super from any of the classes to fuck it up for anybody and that one puts a hole in that strategy. It would fuck up anyone's game plan to be honest. Also another problem in it is it requires you to control the pace of the game. If you can't control the pace of the other team capping flags then you would have a problem because eventually the other team would start trapping you within certain spawn points.

You get 0 points for holding a point, not counting the points for initially capping or neutralizing. Holding a point gives you a bonus to your score when you kill someone. More points held = higher score when you get a kill.

Lol I've been playing this game for so long and this is the first time I've heard this. Always thought it was just a different name for domination...

Because 5 people on a point takes like 5 seconds to cap, while 2 people takes 20. No one is standing around for some amount of time. If your whole team is on the point, you're pretty much stopping for a brief second before taking off again. There is nothing worse than capping a spot with teammates and then seeing the speed drop as they fan out to go somewhere else, then you get Nova bombed out of nowhere before the cap is finished.
I don't think you're grasping the concept of map control.

And you're like... Begging to give away multikills with that concept, but the whole start of this was you and others wondering why that's happening.

Confirmed locations (for PvE):

Earth
Venus
Mars
Moon
The Reef

We don't know if there will be more than one location per planet/Moon/Whatever The Reef is, but there is definitely more to Old Russia than the missions we can access in the Beta. For instance, there's an area in the Beta called the Seraphim Vault that is accessible via glitching.

Cool, thanks man. Let's hope there's a lot more to it!

In BF you get points for holding zones. The lanes aren't nearly as pronounced. You can pick your spawns and spawn on your teammates. You don't need to worry about heavy weapons points. You'll always control vehicles to a certain degree.

Most of all you can't get nuked and immediately thrown into a clusterfuck while feeding the other team's super meters with orbs.

Try to run less and begin engagements at a distance farther than you've done so far. Aim for the head. In 2 shots you strip their shields and being them to ~50% life; the enemy usually freaks out at this point and can be more prone to make mistakes.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot. I was doing better with the auto rifle so I didn't bother with scout rifle again but I guess its worth a try.

Clumping up is never a good idea and that counts double for capture points where the enemy team can see if it's getting captured or not. That's asking for half your team to get instakilled by a super. Personally I prefer to kinda hover around a capture point if it's already being captured by teammates. That way an enemy can't hit everybody at the same time with a grenade or super and they can't immediately locate me like they would if I were in the capture point.

I'll take a longer capture time over all standing next to each other pretty much every time.

Wh... what?

What the fuck, it's not a domination mode?

Anyone else have average kills throughout a match and then go ham right at the end? It's another reason i love Shores of Time. Heavy weapon > Golden Gun > pick up a few snipes while your team caps the last zone to multiply the streak and make a last second comeback.

I need to sort my clips

oh god

I've been doing everything wrong.

That's a bad trade off in a lot of instances, you're just denying yourself one of the few ways your team can get points.

I know KD is nice and all I just worry people will care more about that than winning games.

Lets not make this objective on Halo Reach/4 please!

When will bungie answer if they will or will not allow me to remove helmet display. My Awoken has bring pink hair. She must be seen!
