In the game The Traveler isn't floating above Earth. It's completely within Earth's atmosphere.

Honestly, this game is great and fun, but I get very frustrated or bored easily. I play by myself though (in the same room with a friend, trading off every other round).

I'm guessing it's way more enjoyable playing online with friends, yeah?

Didn't drop for my Warlock. Doesn't really matter as I bought one anyway. It was either that or a useless ship.
Dropped for my Titan.

Won't bother making a Hunter. Needs a Fedora to go with that silly cape.
 
I remember reading some of the things said in the Alpha withdrawal thread that made me roll my eyes and I remember telling myself "it can't be that good"

Now after being shut out of the Beta for a few days I so totally understand, man I can't wait for this game to come out.

If you had set one of the DestinyGAF clans as your PS clan, then no, no proper reason. Seemed really random with no rhyme or reason. Also unusual to me that it showed the clan name, rather than tag. I'm still repping the primary group, and suddenly one morning I had DestinyGAF under my name. Came across a small handful of people in Eastern and Central groups that did have the name, but most I saw did not.

I'm working on it. My plan is to release one big download with everything I can get, but that means waiting until the Beta finishes in case, say, the Moon gets unlocked and missions on it have new music. The wait also affords me more time to make sure my recordings are as clear as possible and to make sure I don't miss anything (or at least anything big). As a tease, here's a piece of music I missed when I was ripping from the Alpha.

That answered the question I was about to ask. I was accepted into DestinyGAF but didn't have the tag at all.


Also, the I hate how glimmers work now. Yellow enemies are rare and some take too much work without a party to kill for the amount of glimmers you get. I've walked into the identical and mirrored caves a bunch of times as well as plenty of dead ends to find them empty. Please put more glimmer chests (especially since others can take them) and more "collectables/findables" in dead end areas.

I'd prefer if every enemy dropped at least some glimmer. Maybe depending on type of enemy and its level. Not enough glimmer being given out

I had my clan set as PS too but I didn't get the tag. unless you can't see your own for some reason.

Well if you eat ether seeds, every enemy does drop glimmer. And you can kind of 'farm' for loot chests if you know the locations.
 
For the Xbox beta wish we could get your codes today and tomorrow so we can download starting tomorrow and have it ready for Wednesday.

When you know a lot of the potential chest spawn locations, you can get plenty of glimmer. I can get 1-2k in ~5 minutes I suppose? Take note of where they can spawn, figure out a route, and go around. Chests respawn randomly, but fairly frequently. Virtually every one of those caves and small dead end rooms are potential spawn points. Many rooftops, alcoves and so on are as well.

But yeah, requiring yellow enemies, target elimination missions or consumables to earn glimmer is a bit of a bummer. Hopefully they don't nerf chests too, or if they do not too hard, because, while I'm fine with grinding a strike repeatedly or whatever hoping for a nice piece of loot, the glimmer grind is nasty without chest routes in the beta imo x.x

The Crucible's glimmer is an absolute joke, and the strike doesn't pay off well in that area either x.x Only one of the five core mission types in explore grants glimmer from my experimentation, and it seems to be the rarest type(I came across it much more often in the alpha). And with only yellow enemies dropping glimmer naturally without an uncommon consumable, and generally a measly 25... Blah.

God damn that is good. It was already stuck in my head from doing the strike, now I won't be able to stop listening to this.

Even though glimmer was a lot more abundant in the Alpha I haven't really been wanting for any in the Beta. I've already bought a new ship, emblem, gear, and weapons and I still have almost 9000 I believe right now.

Just go searching for chests to open for about an hour and you'll be fine on glimmer for a while. Each one usually has 100+ so if you can get 20 chests you'll have 2000+ glimmer right there.
 
Had a better time with Destiny the second time around. Can't wait for the 23rd to keep going.
