Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 10: Against the Odds, We Choose to Hype!

Last repost of this for a bit, but if you already added your info to the document there's now a new column called Play Style. In a few words, share how you generally play Smash so people of similar play styles can add each other.

Here's what I put: "FFA or 1v1 are fine, but slight preference for 1v1. Items can be on or off."

We really don't want it much longer than that, want to keep the document easy to read. Anyway, here's the original post from earlier and I promise I'll stop spamming you guys with it for a while!

Hey guys, as Heath mentioned earlier, I'll be in charge of the NeoGAF Friend Code / NNID lists for the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game. With the 3DS version approaching, now is as good a time as any to start making the list!

Now, even though this is going to take way longer on my part, I'm just going to keep the document private and add everyone's info myself (hence, the early start time). The reasoning for this is to avoid vandalism from outside sources and to keep the document organized. I was in charge of the friend's list for the Mario Kart 8 OT and, with hundreds of people adding their info at once, it got kind of crazy and, of course, someone eventually tampered with the document. With all that in mind, you guys can just PM your info and I'll add it to the document myself. I'll order everyone alphabetically by your NeoGAF username, so there's no disadvantage to sending me your stuff later.

Before you send me you info though, consider this. If you don't think you're going to be playing all that much or only with a few of the people you're friendlier with in this thread, I wouldn't request to put your info on here. We're going to have hundreds of people on here as it is and, with unfortunate limiting of how many friends you can have on both 3DS and Wii U, we really only want people who think they're going to be online somewhat often and are going to play with a lot of people in this thread. If there's only 3-4 people you want to play with in this thread, I'd just PM them and get their info separately.

So, here's the link for the Google Doc. I'm sure Heath will add it to the OP in the next thread, as we're approaching that pretty quickly. I already put my info in so you can see an example. If you want to be on the list, just PM me the following info:

NeoGAF Username (obviously, I'll see that right way)
Friend Code
User Nickname (this is whatever your Mii's name is that is attached to the account)
Time Zone

If you want to leave out the time zone for privacy reason, that's totally fine. You can also leave out the User Nickname, but it gets really confusing to remember who's who as games tend to only show the nickname in game, so it's really helpful if you share that as well. I'll repost this every few pages to make sure every sees. Also, I know this is obvious, but there's going to be a lot of you sending your info in, so don't worry if you're not put on the list immediately. I'll try and do as many as I can each day, but I do have a real life to worry about as well. :P

So, without further ado, let's get this started!

And Toon Link is like: "Meh, who cares ?"

Actually I imagined it as Toon Link saying it. Cause a Link would know the real deal about Cuccos. While Robin probably think he is just some chicken. Toon Link looks a bit concerned/worried, as if he were scared that the Cucco would go nuts.

Very unlikely.
It's such a waste for Nintendo not to allow voice chat with friends. Having the mic built right in is so convenient. Was great in Monster Hunter 3 U. I think it was in Pokemon Black/White too? Can't really remember. Point is that it's nice and I hope we have it. Smash is a lot more fun when you can communicate (though that's still not as good as being in the same room as your opponent(s)).

I'll probably take time off for neither. Normally I would... but the 3DS feels like a lesser version, and by the time the Wii U game comes out, most of the stuff about it will be old news. Having two versions lessens the excitement all around for me.

Still can't wait to get my hands on the games though. :D

And I did at least use some days for E3. I'll probably use some for Christmas, and the rest for... I have no idea lol. Maybe I will use one for Smash.
We get personal time we have to use before the year ends at my job so I have to take off. Mandatory.

Weren't there no Cuccos in Wind Waker? Maybe Toon Link doesn't know...

That doesn't fit his visual expression tho <.<
Toon Link has that "do what you must" expression in this image

Hehe, nice.

They don't mandate ours. But they don't really like for us to wait until fiscal year end in April and have everyone use them at the same time. And it's a waste to not use them. So if I don't use them for Smash or something, I'll probably end up just taking random Mondays off at some point. :)

The pigs were that game's Cuccos. If you attacked one of them multiple times, all pigs in the area would become hostile, not an entire flock or herd, just a few at tops, but they would remain hostile indefinitely unless you left the area (Through building or whatever) or pushed them to the water.

His natural Link instinct is telling him something its about to go very wrong with that Cucco.

Nice! Can't go wrong with a 3 day weekend!

yup

Thread 2 and 3 had no hype at all, smh.

Updated my Wii U stage roster with the Star Fox stage.
gYujt8Q.png

Stage updates come at a trickle... haven't been any new stages save for this one since E3! Reminds me that we still haven't had a clear shot at the Pokemon League stage.

Unsure about keeping Sector Z as a past stage with this new one, but we'll see how it turns out.

Here's my 3DS version, but it hasn't changed.

Maybe. Maybe we'll get Mother 4 instead
pffffffft ;-;

Meh, I'm a big Mother fan and don't want any Mother 4, the three games we got are a great trilogy as it is, another game would just be milking it. Plus, Itoi already said he didn't want to make another game.

At this point, I'm perfectly okay with the Mother series being a trilogy, Itoi said he's done with the series and I don't want to see either him forced to make a game or someone else trying their hardest to make a game that he'd try to make
