Back home, took a shower, drinks ready, time for Destiny. :D

Don't wait too long, sometimes PvP puts you through the same maps over and over, and the PvP does take a while (short or long) to sink in Destiny's feel of PvP.

Need some people to run level 8 strikes with! I swear I'm always having to hide so my teammates can respawn after they RUSH out into a pile of enemies... Makes the games go sooooo slow.
 
Do the Collector Cards work for the beta or just in the final game? I've got 17 redeemed but have no idea what they are.

Also whats the best way to get glimmer?

Sigh. I knew exactly what I was replying to. Both of our interpretations were different from yours about OPs post because we knew Control is deathmatch. So I (dunno about the other guy) read it as if he was talking about one game mode irrespective if OP himself knew. It wouldn't make a difference if OP knew or didn't know. There is only one game mode -control. (Iron banner is still control)
 
The small amount of time you get to loot after a mission is ridiculously stupid. Got so pissed off because borderlands used to treat with nice rare weapons dropping of bosses.

Collector Cards do nothing so far.

As to glimmer, chests in explore are pretty good sources. A couple hundred per chest and in the hive area there's about 5 within a minute walk.

That said, I think this second part of the beta is a lot laggier for me. But it also seems the auto-aim has been reduced some.

I just need to add more GAFfers as friends on PS4. Played with a couple of you last night.

And it's not like any of them are highly visible haha.

Also people say that if you don't pick up your engrams, they arrive at the postmasters office. I call bullshit on this. I tested this out once, but nothing showed up at the post office. It better not have been that green AR I was looking for...

I think you can, though your gear may not deal very much damage to the level 8 enemies. Bullet sponges x1000. I won't be off work until later today though... You can jump levels pretty quick doing story missions and bounties though. I'm ready!

I'm the same, but I have to say that while playing with a full GAF team we still won something like 7 out of 8 games. The guys I played with didn't seem to mind that I sucked, and I just tried to help as much as possible by letting them know the lay of the land since I was in the kill cam a lot.

That reminds me...I need to spam a bunch of people with friend requests. If you're in eastern NA, look out.

found 4 of the 5 golden loot chests without resorting to youtube, woohoo!

I'm really loving this game. I was so not excited about Destiny, but after playing it for a while now, it really is fantastic. I'm having so much fun doing raids and exploring that I barely even touched PvP. It's everything I wanted on my Halo Firefight wishlist, I cannot wait to see what the final game has in store for me.
 
I've had a fully upgraded Cydonia for a while now but finally just found an uncommon Shingen... Only problem is it requires level 9.

Also just found a kick-ass cape... Which also requires level 9.

Ok, but even the statement "control is deathmatch" isn't necessarily accurate. Clash, Skirmish, and Rumble all seem like they'll be more vanilla deathmatch (TDM and DM respectively).

edit: though skirmish seems to be round-based
 
Have Bungie said if there is going to be more customisation options in the final game or not?

I want to be a Human Male but don't like any of the faces :\

Me too, but last night I did a lot better than before. I think they tweaked the auto aim a bit. That or I am actually learning the maps and weapons.

Played a little with the Warlock class. Your special weapon is like a shotgun, but a close distance the melee feels much more powerful. This is a problem with the class ou something that just happen at low level?

I still don't see anything in there with a more defined goal structure. All variations of deathmatch unfortunately.

Also, why is there no team auto-balance?
 
Xbox One version is excellent, looks great and runs very smoothly.

As to the game itself...awesome. Perfect controls, beautiful art, great environments, amazing soundtrack and most importantly a shit load of fun.

The weapons are not class-specific. Every class can use the Fusion rifle you mention.

Salvage seems to be some kind of CTF. I agree about auto team balance -- it's awful. I'll have games where one team gets reduced to one guy, then maybe a few minutes later new people join mid game (on a losing team), but the match is already decided and we're just wasting time waiting for it to end. It'd be better if it auto balanced, but alas, that'd mess with the rewards you get for winning and mess up their exp system.

If you start off on the winning team and get auto-balanced to the losing team, you'd be cheated. So they just don't have auto team balancing.

PvP obviously takes a back seat to PvE in Destiny.

Fair enough, but you know what I mean as I mentioned in my first post about it only kinda being deathmatch. TDM Domination is probably the best descriptor for me.
 
Same. Only 37 attack fully upgraded but hot damn it is the balls in PvP. Ok for now in PvE, but I'll go back to my level 8 green AR3 when I get my hunter to level 8
 
I got a green cryptogram drop when I killed the starting mob in free-roam (the 2 shanks and the fallen soldier) wtf? Was good shoulder pads too
