In regards to Scout Rifles, I see haven't seen a lot of love for the Mitternacht. I have an SR3 and it has the best sight I've seen so far, good clip size, shoots fast/accurate, and precision kills make the reload almost instant. It's fantastic. Unfortunately it's only 49 for damage but the bonuses make up for it.

That sounds nice, though I am a Hand Cannon guy if I were to use an SR something like that would be what I'd go for.

I haven't seen a gun named "Mitternacht". You playing the game on german, by any chance?

Yeah, armor color choices are pretty narrow in the beta. Titan basically has two versions of white+red, Hunter has forest green and teal, and Warlock has red, yellow, and blue.

Much like Guild Wars 2, armor will probably gain more styles and colors as the level requirements grow higher. There are also quite a few shaders; Vanguard, New Monarchy, Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and Iron Banner all have their own sets of colors IIRC, and there could very well be generic/lootable ones that aren't associated with any faction.

Any Crucible tips? I'm playing as a Hunter and I feel like my health is getting taken down in no time.

The game really opened up for me when I started focusing on head shots. You can take someone down in three shots if you land head shots. I also learned the hard way that the guns actual stats are much more important than it it's overall damage output. I had a very highly rated shotgun that had crap range, to the point where I was losing every shotgun fight. Now I'm using a shotgun with decent range and CQC is a lot more pleasurable.

played up until level 4 and this is just the same as borderlands for me. I can see why people like it but i just find the game extremely boring and i know i wont bother to finish it if i bought it.

Nah there's a rifle called Mitternacht - 82 or something similar. My GF was like "that means midnight in German" and then walked out of the room. I had no idea wtf she meant for a minute or two.

Yep, posted that one a while back on this thread. The fast fire rate more than makes up for the lower impact; if you hit all your shots you're golden.

Quick question about the Xbox One controller. I thought the red lights always blinked on the front of it? I've noticed more games are asking "Who are you" and they aren't blinking anymore. Even when I have the Destiny demo quit, just in case that was turning them off.

Has anyone noticed that running all the time might not be the best way to move? Running and turning gives you a delayed turn rather than walking and turning.

This is a dynamic I'm certainly not used to but getting used to. I've been playing way too much TF and in getting used to one FPS so long it takes awhile to get used to another for me.

Yeah. It's really noticeable.

Dear lord why is the aim acceleration so bad? Bungie, why you never learn? I think everything except the aiming is good and it's ruining my enjoyment of the game, as I constantly am fighting the joystick.

I noticed the same thing. When shooting at more than one enemy, the aim assist would pull to the enemy Im not trying to shoot at, causing me to shoot between the two while hitting jack shit.

This is a BETA. team deathmatch is not included. The only multiplayer mode is control. You capture three zones and each one grants you a bonus to points scored for kills.

You can't play the multiplayer until you have hit level 5.

Oh really? This is a beta? Had no idea they weren't including TDM in the beta. I thought that's what this was for. Then I'll find Domination..errr Control. Thanks for the info on the level 5 part. I didn't know that. Like I said, thought it was a MP Beta. Didn't know it was including SP stuff.

So then I have 3 more levels to go before I can play with friends? Or random people? Just what I wanted to do.. play more SP before I can get into some MP. Joy.

That's actually great advice. I switched out one of my larger clip Fusion Rifles just recently. New one has less stability (lol), but its got increased range and charge time - and it has better aim when crouched. So it like... perfectly fits what I use Fusion Rifles for, for the most.

Its always been my opinion that if you miss your first shot with the Fusion Rifle you deserve anything that happens*.

*Unless its lag related. Which is where the majority of people's issues are coming from - they just don't know it.

Control actually is a form of TDM. You don't get any points for holding the flags except when neutralizing and capping them. They serve as multipliers for kills. This could be better explained because nobody seems to be picking up on it.

hmmm....mine has always done it with COD and did it some with Titanfall but it hasn't done it with the beta, yet.

and yes, the infrared lights blink sometimes

YES! It's some kind of game play mechanic, and I don't like it.

At first I thought it was the Xbox One dropping frames, but after careful inspection and bumping the input sensitivity WAY up, the game nerfs your turning speed while you dash/run.

Makes running and gunning less than fun. Like Bungie is the lifeguard blowing the whistle at you running by the pool because they think you'll fall and stub your toe or something.

your friends can join you on the first story mission that you can select. The game is PVE focused. If you were looking for a straight up multiplayer shooter you are looking in the wrong place.

This is exactly what I said. what.

team deathmatch in regards to what he was asking is not included in the beta.

You can play with friends whenever you want to. Just invite them to your fireteam or join theres.

Tried playing with some friends?

I know that the game didn't start to impress me until I really got a hang of my class and started playing hard missions with my friends. There's some really crazy shit that you can do when everyone is at the top of their game. Like calling for a friend to help you break the shield of a high level Captain and then you launch a super attack with perfect precision that makes the whole screen explode.

I honestly don't think anyone will find those situations boring. You just have to go looking for them, because they're in there for sure.

I wish this game would make leveling up an epic occasion. As it is now its just kinda like "oh i leveled up.. yay?" instead of "wooooo I leveled up that was kool!). Maybe I'm just weird lol

I don't get the MP. So are we all put on a level playing field weapons wise or no? I thought I'd read PvP was level balanced. What about guns? I'm level 6 and have this rifle but even hitting with 2-3 bursts I barely get enemies shields down. Then some level 8 dude will one shot me with a pistol. GAF help.

I just hit Level 8 with my hunter...outside of starting a new character of a different class, what are the best goals to shoot for with my current character? Are there any legendary weapons/gear people recommend working towards?

I'm usually the type of person who needs some tangible goals to keep playing something after I'm maxed out. The only "stretch goal" I can think of is to hit level 15 on my abilities. I'd like something else to challenge me if possible.

Oh no. Poor thing.

Are we going to get posts like this from you all week now? Get it together. If you don't like the game then that's perfectly okay. There's tons of other FPS games out there.

Has anyone come across a lv. 8 Marshall A-1 auto rifle of uncommon quality?

I love that rifle, reminds me of the Halo 1 rifle for some reason. But never come across a more powerful version of it.

I've got mixed feelings about Destiny's aiming. It's still an analog stick which makes me absolute dogshit at PvP, but it feels like I have a little more control over the crosshairs because the difference between max and min turn speed is slightly smaller than other games.

Also, Bungie putting the crosshairs lower than the center of the screen is awesome and I wish more games did this.

I'm mostly talking about the aim acceleration, rather than the aim assist, but I know what you're saying.
