Squid Set Radio Music for smash 5 needs to happen,

Helllllllllllllllll yeah.

Also, equal amounts of hype over Murasame Castle making it over! I legitimately have no faith in the Virtual Console right now, so the fact we're getting previously JP Exclusives over here in America again (Lost Levels doesn't count by this point...) is really great, and I always wanted to try this again! I'm still fearing Takamaru's not in, but I'm definitely confident that something's happening to the IP, and of course, there's still a chance that we could see Takamaru's big return alongside the Smash roster; Pac-Man's more an Namco throwback, and Mac's modern again, so none of the newcomers feel "retro" ala Pit & the Ice Climbers to me yet.

Unless this is how we get playable Ridley, that is:

Lol at the SDCC surprise being that there is no surprise

There were plenty of surprises, just nothing any smash fans really wanted.

Tons of unscheduled matches, matches w/ celebrities, matches w/ Toph/Scar, etc etc etc. They never said announcements, they just said surprises.

I'm really excited for Smash Bros on the 3DS now. It's looks really nice and all my fears for this game are gone thanks to SDCC footage.

I hope Nintendo plays nice and releases both the Wii U and 3DS versions of Mysterious Murasame Castle on Takamaru Thursday. I'd be down to double dip.

You mean:

Obviously, Judge Ridley's a clone character evolved from an alt.

Also, I added everyone from Oric's Spreadsheet barring twilitesparklemotion (Sorry, I would, but you're missing a # in your FC); if anyone else has room to add me, please feel free!

call me crazy but the spirit tracks stage looks really fun. i like stage hazard stages, as long as they're not ridiculously intrusive.

i also greatly prefer stages that are designed around fighting around/within a proper area. random floating platforms (as primary platforms) kind of bother me. for example, it's the difference between hyrule castle and new pork city, aesthetically at least.

We are both crazy then. I am so hyped for the Spirit Train stage.

As you, I don't like random floating platforms either (like the Delfino Plaza stage in Brawl and Prism Tower in SSB3DS).

This is why The Mario Galaxy stage pisses me off. I want to fight on the Cosmic Observatory or even Spaceship Mario, not the tutorial galaxy with the actual interesting places in the background.

Apart from being big - a flaw of both of those stages - those two stages aren't remotely similar. Hyrule Castle is decent apart from it's size, it would be better as two separate stages. New Pork City is just completely and totally awful with zero redeeming factors. The game would have actually been better without that stage.

I generally don't like stage hazards though. They are fine when they are predictable and not excessively dangerous. Stages like Big Blue and presumably Spirit Tracks suffer because when you land on the road after a hit and don't tech so you can jump right back up, it's basically an auto-death at any percent.

Gusty Garden Galaxy stage would be better.

with floating platforms going around like Delfino of course

Bowser's Galaxy Generator > Space Junk > Luigi's Purple Coins (could you imagine how fucking hilarious this would be with the "platforms shrinking out of existence when jumped on" gimmick) > Puzzle Plank > Gusty Garden

That said, the Galaxy series lends itself to so much incredible shit that the idea of the current stage feels a bit blah, visuals exempt of course.

I really wanted an Awkward Zombie style stage. The higher the damage, the more prone you would be to escaping the planet's gravitational pull and drifting into the blast zones. Stage hazards would be momentary black holes opening up or bigger/smaller planets with different gravitational pulls that you'd want to avoid or jump towards when the situation arose.

I have a question for you guys... I am playing through Brawl again and I think I am two characters away from getting everyone unlocked. so there is a certain amount of matches you have to play to unlock certain characters.... Is there anywhere in the options where I can find how many matches I have played in total???????????????????

From the main menu, choose Data. Then from Data, look in Records.
