Are you here to troll? They elected a terrorist organization that launches rockets at one neighbor and blows a hole in the border of the other. Neither of which like them much to begin with. But at least Iran and Syria try and arm them... thus causing a blockade.
They need to believe their own lies, so that others believe them too. Goebbels would be so proud of them.
And now that people are starting to see beyond the lies and go to the streets to show support for Palestine and their people, they are starting to use fear and violence to deterr that:
The message is also reaching Israeli supporters outside the country. Vigilante groups, reportedly associated with the extremist Jewish Defense League (JDL), were recently caught on video in the streets of Paris, armed with metal bars and pepper spray, attacking pro-Palestinian demonstrators.

It was posted several times, but arguably not very well discussed. Israel critique and anti semitism go hand in hand in these protests. And its a problem for everyone. Local jews are in danger and the israel protesters get drowned in tbe screams against anti semitism. This may be in response to the attacks and vandalism that happened a few days ago to Jews and Jewish shops in France during some of the protests. I didn't see anyone post about it but it was pretty shitty.
Is this from a comedy show? Wow.

*Puzzled look "What do you mean" "Is this in reference to an incident?" You were right I do want to punch through the screen

I think I'm done with the new atheist movement. Although I still enjoy his writings when he's not being irrational about islam such as his writings on spirituality, free will and scientific morality.
oh hey its that dude that stanned for the racial profiling of arabs in airportsAnyone read this? http://www.samharris.org/blog/item/w...iticize-israel

He brings up the Hamas charter. He brings up Holocaust denialism. How any of these support what Israel is doing now is never brought up. His discussion basically comes down to Israelis being more palatable to him than the Arabs and thus more worthy of life.
This guy is scum.
Will have to wait and see findings from international groups, but not the first time Israel will be accused and proven of using human shields.Ayman Abu Toaimah, 32, a resident of Khuzaa recalls, As Israeli invading troops advanced to the village they besieged it and used residents as human shields. When the Israeli army arrested people and then released some of them, they were told they are free to go back to the village, but as they were fleeing they came under fire and some of them shot dead. These people were used as human shields.
Abu Saleem, 56, a resident of Khuzaa echoed Abu Toaimah, Israelis claim that Hamas is using us as human shields how? This is a lie, we do not see fighters in the streets. Its them, the Israelis who used us as human shields in Khuzaa and Shujaiyeh. They turned our houses into military posts, terrified residents in the houses. They attacked innocent civilians with their bombs, and missiles, they attacked chicken farms, they burned our crops, they have no mercy.
Abu Ali Qudail a resident of Khuzaa said: When the ICRC told us that ambulances are waiting us at the entrance of the village from the western side, about 1,000 people rushed to leave their homes, some of which were used as a hideout for Israeli forces. As people were leaving they were surprised that the ambulances were not there, and as we were waiting tank shells rained down on our heads.
Abu Ali Qudail continued: I was watching members of my family dying in front of me, some of them were torn to pieces. Rami, Ibrahim, Alia, Haj Abed died..we had to leave them behind, as soon as we reached one of the Khan Younis schools we entered it to seek shelter but it was very crowded with people who fled their homes. Its hard to see people dying and you do not know what to do. One of my relatives homes were struck while they were inside.
I love how the media's response to claims of bias is always "Well we tried to get Hamas officials on air, but it's too hard. How could we possibly give any context to the situation without Hamas officials accepting our invitations! Now here's an Israeli spokesmen who will speak, unchallenged, about the situation for the next ten minutes."
It's the same excuse Chris Hayes used when he interviewed her.
Well yeah "I may have pulled the trigger but it's still his fault" defenses can only work for so long. While Israel does its utmost best to deceive the world and convince others with its lies, even by paying liars to funnel up hatred and distorted news, the worldwide outrage shows Israel (again) is loosing the war on truth. Worldwide protest of a magnitude unknown before, show the tide is turning. It can no longer uphold the myths nor conceal the ugly reality it created since it started massacring around since 1937.

The biggest problem again is
Most acknowledge Hamas is a terrorist organization
Israel action defenders will never acknowledge faults in the Israeli response let alone what Israel does when its not killing civilians
A terrorist organization which agreed to a cease fire and then did its best to enforce it, and stop splinter groups from launching rockets.
2+2= IDF killing 700 civilians because HAMASJust like if you keep getting asked what 2+2 is. The answer doesn't change.
Based on just their say so or... ?
They get a cookie if it's true but that's hardly impressive considering who we are talking about.
Holy shit, don't read the comments on this story because that level of concentrated war-boner is terrifying.
Poll: 86.5% of Israelis oppose cease-fire
The first endorsed a ceasefire because Israel had enough achievements, soldiers have died, and it is time to stop. The second said Israel cannot accept a cease-fire because Hamas continues firing missiles on Israel, not all the tunnels have been found, and Hamas has not surrendered.
2+2= IDF killing 700 civilians because HAMAS
Of course it does. Destroying Gaza and inflicting 80% civilian casualties isn't defense. Can someone tell me if Israel has the right to defend itself?
2+2 is "Why are you fighting?!" "Because they fired a thousand rockets into our country and try to kidnap our people and we have the right to defend ourselves"
2+2 is "Why are you fighting?!" "Because they fired a thousand rockets into our country and try to kidnap our people and we have the right to defend ourselves"
i feel so ignorant not knowing the history behind this and what lead up to this. what should I read to understand this situation more?
this is fucked up
Can someone tell me if Israel has the right to defend itself?
Why did they fire rockets.
2+2 is "Why are you fighting?!" "Because they fired a thousand rockets into our country and try to kidnap our people and we have the right to defend ourselves"
Why did they launch a suicide bombing campaign after the Oslo accords?
Why did they launch a suicide bombing campaign after the Oslo accords?
This has already been beaten to death. The REAL question is do Palestinians have the right to defend themselves.
"Defend themselves" really doesn't make sense in the context. Better point is to question if the Palestinans have the right to resist oppression.
