Basically that, in order from least to most interesting to be confirmed/announced of the unconfirmed melee/brawl vets

Wario
Meta knight
Ice climbers
Mr G&W
Falco/Ness
Jigglypuff
Rob
Wolf/Lucas
Ganondorf
Mewtwo
Dr mario/pichu/young link/roy
Snake

Ganondorf ranks higher because while we know he'll be back its interesting to see if Sakurai will finally give him a unique move set or if he'll still be a Falcon clone.

Mr G&W is lowest, imo. I consider him confirmed, since not only did we already seen him, but he had a slight redesign, too (they removed his outlines, likely due to the 3DS having its own outline system).

The segment detailing the Mysterious Murasame Castle (as well as Nintendo's coverage from Day 2 of their Comic Con stream) is up. Honestly, there's a lot of lip service dropped for this game.

On a totally off tangent, am I weird for feeling like Takamaru's character art for the game is one of Nintendo's best pieces of character art all these years later? It somehow seems simple yet distinct all the same. I think I just have a fondness for the "old" style there though.

That stream is one of the best "we're just messing around playing games" streams on Twitch sometimes. Wish if I could have gotten some Poolside Identity into the queue just for the reactions.

nakinyko is youtube god.

Reminds me of classic anime shows. Takamura's giving me Robotech/Macross vibes.

It would be so weird if you see Mario right next to Dr. Mario Assist Trophy.

Even though they're not the same character

Honestly the first 4 are basically on the same level of "boring reveal"

You know what I want from Smash 4? I think they should have given every character an extra taunt (up, down, left & right). That would be epic

I really hope Ganondorf and Falco get their old moves (old side b, old down b) back as custom moves. I expected Mario to get his old down B back, but then I remembered they reassigned it to his down aerial, so that wouldn't have worked too well.

To clarify, you mean an extra side taunt, right? A whole new set of four taunts for each character would be nice, but not exactly feasible.

What I want from Smash 4 is a copy of Smash 4.

But for real, I think Chibi-Robo would be a neat character.

And Ravio, even though we're probably not getting any Zelda characters after Ganondorf

Im falling asleep....I cant make it guys.....go on...without me....

Maybe my curse will go off again and something good will happen for me missing the PotD.....nah......zzzzzzzzZZZZZZ.

So what are your guys thoughts on this

If Ganondorf gets completely revamped with a completely new moveset that basically makes him a newcomer despite the fact he's been in the past two games, would you consider him a newcomer because he plays completely differently and outside of model isn't even recognizable as the old character? Or is model/character more important and he's still a veteran even if his moveset is completely different.

See, I'm actually looking forward to seeing Wario back - because of facial expressions. Goofy animations have really been turned up to 11 on goofy characters like Dedede, so I'm looking forward to what Sakurai has up his sleeve for Wario.

...also I just really like playing as Wario.

My unreasonable character wishlist is features Jimmy T. (cause music), Chibi-Robo (cause robots) and Black Mage (cause I'm not very creative), so you're not alone.

No doubt, none of us are saying we don't want Wario and he'll blend perfectly in the new art style. He's just kind of an un-surprise.

Still a veteran. For me, newcomers are supposed to be "new characters."

He's probably going to feature the most detailed, next-gen fart cloud the world has ever seen. People will shed tears of joy just LOOKING at it.

Suppose Pit is already in this situation to a extent, and wouldn't surprise me if it's the closest we'll get to that. So I'd go with Revamped Veteran. Don't think Sakurai will ever fully revamp a whole moveset, though.

He'd still be a veteran. Even if he gets a ton of new moves, I'm sure there will still be a few remnants of Brawl left in. At the very least, I don't think his side special, Final Smash, or taunts are going anywhere.

Sakurai never puts that much effort on characters that aren't newcomers

or his precious Kid Iccybooboo

I've been hyped for Wario way too long. Hopefully that nod on the eShop means he'll be shown soon.

You know what that would mean?

Three-way robot battles! I'm down for that.

I'm just expecting the Wii Fit Trainer info we got from
[redacted]
today in PotD form tonight.

Kidding, kidding. It's Popeye.

A unique and fun Ganondorf would be worthlike three lesser characters as newcomers in my eyes
