Die hard trilogy was the best saturn game

I played some dwarf fortress. I think it's fascinating and I'd probably play more of it if the controls were not archaic as fuck.the game would not lose anything if they redesigned that part.
sounds like youre intimidated and lazy and not expanding outside your comfort zone

Sounds more like you trying to be a dick. At least I played it for a while unlike you.

That someone can look at a hyper polished game like WoW and say this is too much is ridiculous. It's probably one of the easiest games in it's genre and most elements should already be familiar to you if you have played a RPG.

Steve is actually spot on. It doesn't matter how polished or well designed a MMO is, for the uninitiated it can be daunting. Just like everything in life - it's easy when you know it. Mocking someone for that is probably one of the shitiest parts of gaming 'culture'.

Screw the haters.

WoW was a great game.
WoW is still a great game.

One of the best games ever made...period.
Fuck yes it is. Every expansion since WOTLK I have levelled a character up to max but then uninstalled because I have the realisation that what I miss about TBC is my guild and the people I played with. Was an awesome bunch with many going on to be lasting friends.

Yeah WoW is great, but I like playing many different games and at some point WoW started to make that impossible. It just became too much of a time sink. That's usually when I stop playing a MMO, because I can't justify paying the subscription further if I am not making good use of it.

I didn't mock, it's just a foreign concept to me. Like I said I love trying new and interesting things and being challenged by them. Hell my first flight sim was Falcon 4.0 and that came with a manual the size of a phone book. My reaction wasn't being intimidated but fascinated.

This sounds pretty mocking to me:

Bleh... The latest couple of quicklooks are not on Youtube and the site's player is terrriiibbllleee

I'm sad that my computer can't handle them going full screen. Maybe it's just Firefox, but you'd think even an old 5850 should be able to handle internet video. When I full screen the framerate goes to shit.

Tried the HTML5 player on the site? The Streaming and Progressive player don't work for me, HTML5 works without a hitch.

Try Chrome maybe? Does the same issue happen on Youtube?

WoW is broad and deep but the deep you have to track down nowadays. It hides from you.

Also waiting for near the end of the segment where it's just him standing around waiting for something to happen.

Also, the beginning of the Don Bradman QL is some of the funniest 5 minutes on the site.

Not a subscriber =(

YouTube works fine with full screen 1080p, just watched the Mad Max trailer and it was flawless

Chrome is marginally better but not by much, still dropping frames. I usually just wait till the YT mirror goes up.

Everyone derides WoW for being too casual...but that is the only reason i have stuck with it at all.

A couple months ago i decided i wanted to see the pandaria raid content.
I logged into my account. Was geared for the first area on the "raid finder difficulty". And within the span of a few weeks i had easily seen and beaten every boss in the game.

Now, sure it was at the lowest difficulty, and I didn't get the best gear from it. But i got to see all of the content in a short amount of time.

So while I am sure some of the hardcore raiders are mad about this. For someone who doesn't have the time to get into mmos like I used to....it is great.

I've never understood why hardcore raiders get angry about that stuff. It would be like someone getting angry that another person beat a game on a lower difficulty. The hardcore raiders still get all the special loot and achievements, raid finder just allows people with less time to experience the content and narrative, since a lot of story is tied up in the raids.

I think the raid content is great and the Raid finder/Normal/Hard mode structure works well since everyone gets what they need from it.

My issue with the game is the level up content, dungeons, dailies, and some of the other activities that are almost impossible to fail at so they just end up feeling more like chores than actual game content.

Its crazy how fickle gamers can be (as a whole - i'm using super sweeping generalizations here).

"This mmo is too hard! Make Everquest easier!"
*WoW debuts*
"This mmo is too easy! Make it harder like Dark Souls or something!"

Yes, I'm being very reductive here.
