Legend of Korra Book 3: Change |OT| SCHEDULEBENDING

I'm pretty sure this next episode will show Zuko and the others briefly trying to find Korra. It's just the time is weird. Like Zaheer busted out his gf then went to republic city and stayed there a couple days. Then Korra was at the metal City for like a week (maybe half a week). You would just think Zuko or the white lotus would have reached Korra by now or made more attempts to find her.

Granted I just think it's a perception of time and they will show them doing this.

Yeah I have a hard time pinpointing time with korra. With ATLA they would make sure to show you aang training and his progress as a measure of time, not to mention whenever they'd have time to say "aang you have been practicing for bla days now". Heck we even had the Eclipse and the comet as two dates they'd made sure to mention whenever they had the chance.

So just to confirm are we getting a new episode this Friday via the nick website or do we have to wait one more week?

I suppose the issue with time this season is also due to there being no sense of urgency compared to TLA (Sozin's Comet) and Book 2 (Harmonic Convergence) as its not like zaheer has to capture Korra before a certain point or anything (that we know off)

Yeah we are definitely getting a new episode this Friday. Should be up on the Nick site at 12:00pm (noon) EST according to Korranation
Hopefully the site won't crash

The thing about the episodes on nick.com is that there is bloody needless GHOSTING due to wrong frame rate playback (most noticeable in scenes with fast movement). It's been a problem since Book 1 and always drives me mad since it should be easy to fix. lol

So I never though about it but I really do hope suyin isn't evil. Because it'd be amateur writing 101 to have a family character introduced in the one season where she's evil and working with the one group of baddies that want to hunt down the avatar and by pure coincidence her daughter is an airbender. The chips don't fall that neatly.

I just binge watched the entirety of book 3 just now because I really just heard of this myself.

I guess the jury is still out for now, still have to let everything process. But I'm hopeful things look up for the show now since it got moved to a digital platform.

We watch this as a family, and summer schedules meant we had 5 episodes to catch up on. This season is great. I'm salty about the move to online, but it's just the latest in Nickelodeon's poor handling of the Avatar franchise.

Ratings for what may be the last ever new Korra episode to air on Nick have been released
Pretty disappointing way to end it on Nick with a series low for Legend of Korra

The Terror Within - 1.08 Million Viewers and 0.3 in the demo ratings

The Terror Within (Nick Execs HQ)

Well shit.

Question about the online viewing, is it available unlimitedly as soon as they post it? Or only online for the airing slot. I'm seeing GOTG Friday and will miss it. Not sure how the whole online deal works.

not surprising given that most people likely heard that the show was pulled from the air, but missed the fact they would be airing one last episode.

In a perfect world netflix will buy the series and make a new avatar after Korra as a netflix original.
in a perfecter world netflix buys young justice....netflix buys a lot of things in my perfect world.

I keep getting these bad vibes from Su, the way she acted when she learned Aiwei had been discovered. Then out of nowhere she wants Team Avatar to leave the city and track Aiwei, claiming she will deal with Lin.

I think Korra is walking into a trap, and that Lin is about to be captured.

I really hope she isn't evil and a more of her judgement was clouded at the fact that one of her most trusted advisor's for a number of years would betray her like that and she wants to get revenge/justice back and understand why he would do such a thing
It’s still a dumb decision from her to send Korra off after Aiwei though

And even if Su is evil why this elaborate plan to send her off into a "trap" when she could have as easily just enclosed Korra and the gang in Metal the first night they were sleeping there not like they'll able to get out of it and send them off to Zaheer

We're not even sure if Zaheer and Co. are straight-up evil.

We don't know what their goal is.

Obviously not just killing Korra. So they need her for something... or maybe they want to explsin het the truth about... something.

We know they want to end the avatar. Killing Korra wouldn't accomplish that, since the avatar would just be reborn.

All according to plan...

Wait can someone give me a detailed explanation of why Mako is so hated? All I remember is him being kissed twice by girls he wasn't going out with but was that really his fault?

He got kissed by two girls and kissed back, it's not like the girls pointed a gun at his head man. Just because you didn't initiate doesn't mean you're blameless if you don't pull back and/or you're dishonest.

But I'd say that mainly he's hated because Bolin is the more likable of the two brothers and his development/episodes focused on him took a backseat so Korra/Asami/Mako could have their triangle focused on. He's not that interesting on anything that doesn't involve him fighting or being a detective.

They didn't include two other great scenes shown at Comic-Con from future episodes:

One was an epic shot of
Lin fighting on a plateau against a stormy backdrop, really impressive. Who she (and a small legion of metalbender cops) was fighting against, we don't see. Although...

The second was
Zaheer dodging earthbending attacks on the same plateau, so there you go; Lin was probably fighting Zaheer in that first shot.

They also showed longer versions of two scenes from that second trailer, of
Mako and Bolin fighting Ming-Hua and Ghazan, respectively.

So ... they gonna release all of them online at once like Netflex does or are they gonna keep dickin about with this week-to-week stuff?

Isn't that the whole reason Netflex does that?

one episode per week

august 22nd will be the last episode of the season

Oh, well fuck them.

I would be willing to pay $6-to-$10 to support the show and blow through the seasons at my own pace but if you don't have to make time slots and such pre-week then I don't get the point of withholding episodes to release every Friday ...
