Hell yeah Mario Party.

Placing my bets on Brad being a secret Mario Party God.

And Jeff will lose his shit after being screwed over in a luck based minigame.

mario party was good up through 5

they got bad after that

because ive never played them

i liked 5 a lot though cause you could just change all the spaces if you wanted

Mario Party 5 house rules:

Use all capsules immediately on the turn that you get them. No gods, no masters. Chaos reigns.

Mario Party (all games) house rules:

The "Wario Party": If possible, turn message and animation speed to high and turn off all minigame explanations.

N64 Mario voices = the best (think MP, Mario Kart)

Toad, Wario, Luigi, Peach - they've only gotten worse over time.

Only way to make it bearable, yeah. :p

Wario Party is best party, though, clearly.

House rules make every game better but we know Giantbomb don't do any preparing they just go in cold and stumble through,

Tie Fighter Bombastica coming?

lol, I miss Dave's nonchalance. Dave x Dan would have been interesting.

About 2 years ago Ryan/Brad talked about trying to get Tie Fighter working on Windows 7 and they couldn't because it had issues. I proceeded to write a guide on how to get these games to work perfectly on Windows 7, and linked it to Brad. Not sure if they checked it out, but didn't get a response.

It's a little bit involved to get working so I don't know if they are going to do it, and Windows 8 seems to have some issues with 3D acceleration on X-Wing and Tie Fighter unfortunately...

But I am going to try to update my guide for Windows 8 (and also fix the broken links to the Reconstructed guide I helped with which restores some of the original music from the DOS version of Tie Fighter but re-orchestrated in much higher quality) and perhaps even just send the guys a bootable USB drive which has everything they need to do a bombastica of any of those games.

Still fits. Weird. People have different opinions. You liked some choices they made in the game design, I think they made the wrong choice at almost every turn. The game has really no redeemable aspect that holds up for more than an hour, so I feel it's a truly bad game. I don't really care whether you like it, don't let my feelings impact yours. But it's an awful game.

How do you feel about the graphics? The designs of the enemies? The script? The online multiplayer? The combat situations that have enemy AI that forces you to constantly improvise? The exploration of the environments? The combat animations that naturally changes depending on the position you are within a room? The performances of all of the actors? That giraffe scene?

Big Rigs: Over the Road racing is an awful game. Sonic 2006 is an awful game. Are you willing to at least say that that The Last of Us is better than those games?

Jeff's response to it is the best

This is all a trap to make him play as Yoshi.

I didn't play Last of Us, for no real reason. I think I was just sick and tired of depressing games at the time so I have no real comment on the game. I was talking about Bioshock Infinite.

Dude get over it. Not everyone loves LOU, some might even think it's a bad game (me included).

It's an asinine statement to make without context. Is it a bad game if tallied up against all the games ever made? Is it a game you didn't enjoy from a mechanical perspective because of x, y and z?

People get upset when things they enjoy and spend time and energy on get beaten up without any actual coherent argument put forward. I'm sure SuperTurboMan would understand if there was an argument and opinion put forward - but a blanket "Eugh, game sucks" isnt cool.

You don't have to like anything, but you clearly haven't played many games if that is what you consider "awful". Which is doubly odd since you're posting in a GB thread, a site known for their showcasing of awful games, and where a realistic perspective is easily available.

Watching this Firefall QL, and Jeff levels in this the way I level in MMOs: "I have this over-level quest, I went all this way, it's not explicitly impossible, FUCK IT, WE'RE GOIN'."

The fact that there are worse games doesn't mean it can't be awful itself. There's a lot more that's terrible in general in the world than what's good, "better than most of what's available" can still be complete shit. Either way, if asked for my opinion, I would strongly suggest people don't play Bioshock Infinite. It's a game to pass on in my eyes unless you're looking from an academic point of view to see how completely and how quickly everything falls apart.

people don't need to justify their opinions unless they're arguing someone else is wrong. that's kind of the cool thing about opinions. I think Sonic sucks and that there has never been a single good Sonic game. I'm indifferent to anybody else's opinions on the matter.

I could be productive..

..or I could just listen to this for the next 4 hours.

Oh, that's cool. Good luck, duder! You're doing a public service here, for sure. :)

Word. The levels in 2D Sonic games piss me off. Non-linear in a bad way and they feel kinda random in their layout, like not a lot of care was put into the levels.

yo link that guide here when you get it updated

Looking forward to Dan picking Wario (Waluigi starting with 3).

Some of his laughs in that Replay sound almost exactly like Wario's, hands down. :D

Patrick, pls put that interview up as a Dumptruck. If you're not going to edit it or annotate or contextualize it, include the audio. Pls.

My Mario Party house rule is that now Mario Party game is allowed to be played ever in my house.

Fuck those games, play some real board games!
