The trailer begins. Sakurai is sitting in his office, opening a letter. It is written on notebook paper in a messy, childish script. "Dear Mashpotato Samurai, pls put Ridley in Smash, we have been waiting for so long, he deserves it more than anyone..." and on it goes. Sakurai laughs a cold, cruel laugh, folds the letter into a paper airplane, and puts it onto the shelf behind him, which is full of notebook-paper origami figures. He switches off the light and leaves the office. On the shelf, the airplane begins to shudder and bursts open. "Paper Mario Slips Into Battle!"

I say a Veteran reveal, maybe not today but at least this week, is likely since we're close to launch and Sakurai will probaby dedicate the last 1 or 2 weeks to explaining movesets and game options, so unless we get another Direct then he needs to reveal the remaining 10+ veterans soon.
Or a good chunk of the unrevealed veterans will be unlockable.

No, but two days in a row being almost vaguely related was entertaining enough that we might as well try it again!
Naturaly we won't get Snake since it's not a Friday, but Sakurai could show us a SMASH RUN SNAKE FRANCHISE ENEMY, or a SNAKE ASSIST TROPHY, or a picture that is set in a SNAKE LEVEL as a subtle hint.
