Gaza Crisis: Far-Right Israelis Chant 'There's No School Tomorrow, There's No Children Left in Gaza!'

Right-wing Israelis have been filmed chanting "There's no children left there [in Gaza]" and "Gaza is a cemetery" in a seeming celebration of their military's offensive on the territory during a Tel Aviv demonstration.

The protesters are seen waving Israeli flags and singing football-like chants to voice their anger at Arab members of the Knesset (MK) Ahmad Tibi and Haneen Zoabi, and the people of Gaza.

In the translated captions on the video below, the demonstrators are heard shouting: "There's no school tomorrow, there are no chidren left there [in Gaza]".

This chant came after the group threatened Israeli Arab MK Ahmad Tibi by chanting "Ahmad Tibi, I wanted you to know, the next child to get hit is yours" and "I hate Tibi the terrorist".

Zoabi recently caused controversy after stating that the murderers of the three kidnapped Israeli teenagers in the occupied West Bank were not terrorists but responding to the Israeli occupation.

The group call for the government to "take away their IDs" or Israeli citizenship because "this is the land of Israel... this is the state of the Jews".

The video ends with the group chanting "Gaza is a cemetery" in a celebration of the fact that many Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli military's air and ground offensive on the Gaza Strip.

This march represents just one section of Israeli society, with many Israeli activists taking to the streets of the country's main cities to protest the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and the military's offensive on the Gaza Strip.

The divide within Israeli society is clear with a number of anti-war protesters, such as Avi Blecherman, being assaulted by far-right demonstrators.

Evidence of far-right extremism continues to surface in Israel, with people speaking out against the Gaza offensive facing increased violence and intimidation.

Israel has intensified its attacks on Gaza as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned a long conflict was ahead.

According to Palestinian officials, 1,115 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's offensive.

Six thousand Palestinians have been wounded in the conflict, with more than 215,000 displaced in the territory - most have fled into UN shelters.

The Israeli military has confirmed the loss of 53 soldiers while three civilians, one a foreign national, have been killed in the fighting.

Do you have a source for that? In the article linked they specifically say:

"We condemn the group or groups who endangered civilians by placing these munitions in our school. This is yet another flagrant violation of the neutrality of our premises. We call on all the warring parties to respect the inviolability of U.N. property," Gunness said in a statement.

Which leads one to believe it endangers civilians.

It also references two more schools, only one of which it said was vacant:

That "when they find them" should be an "if they find them". The situation on the ground isn't exactly conducive to thorough inspections, and it's also possible for certain artillery to have been placed near the school after already taking shelter.

They had stored rockets in 3 vacant UN schools, with no people inside. The UN has discovered this during their routine examinations. There were no rockets found in any UN school used as a shelter. And the Israeli government has received the GPS coordinates for all shelters. The coordinates for this particular school have been given to the IDF on 17 occasions.

Human shields = IDF excuse for civilian casualties

Amnesty International has been investigating and has found no evidence thus far that points to Hamas and other militant groups using civilians as shields for personnel and equipment.

How do you explain Israel sending out warnings and telling people to go to designated "safe zones" and then bombing those said safe zones once people have gone there? That is the reason why people don't leave their homes anymore when Israel sends warnings they're about to bomb an area. Not because they're "shielding" something. No place is safe, so might as well risk it and spend what are possibly your last moments at home with family rather than run around in a panic and get killed anyways.

The Israeli military and command are solely to blame here. They were warned repeatedly by the UN on this occasion, but fired anyway.


The goal is to break the Palestinians. Inflicting civilian casualties as far as they can get away with it, which seems pretty far, is a part of that.

Even if we presuppose the school had an ammo or rockets cache in it, it would still be illegal to attack if it was full of civilians who had not been given adequate time and opportunity to evacuate.
You cant just blow up a hospital or a school without giving civilians inside an opportunity to evacuate. In fact the only situation in which an attack on a hospital or school is acceptable is if enemy soldiers are physically present in the facility and are using the place as a base of operations.
