It's the exact opposite for me. Early game I can kinda judge the strength of my enemies and follow what's happening in the small ganks/teamfights, but lategame teamfights are just clouds of particle effects where people drop like flies for unknown reasons to me.

We should combine ourselves, and win millions!

It's all about getting xp and gold while denying it to the other team.

I know that much, but there is so much micromanaging going on a lot of the eccentricities goes over my head. had the same problem with The Sims, but on a much smaller level.

I wasn't around for the last 3 weeks, what are the videos I need to watch?

Mario Party Party (definite)

Velvet Sundown Premium

Velvet Sundown QL

Turtles training Lair QL

Don Bradman Cricket QL

Unprofessional Fridays (not the last one - still solid, the few before that)

Ghostship Aftermath QL

The others are a bonus on top.

EDIT beaten

Off the top of my head> The Mario Stream, UPF of the last three weeks/you can skip this week's if you have to narrow down the amount of videos, Ghostship Aftermath QL, Lovely Planet QL, Don Bradman Cricket 14 QL, TMNT QL, Velvet Sundown QL and Premium video, Bot Colony QL and Premium video.

There's a lot.

edit Man, so beaten.

I forgot Ghostship, that was a good one too.

And another definite for Bot Colony if you haven't seen it. The Vinny stream of it was incredible, as was the QL.

You guys should buy Lovely Planet I think it's might be goat @-@

I've been playing it for a couple of hours after watching the QL, and BOY does it get hard.

Also, from the QLs comment section

The game is made for speedrunning.

I was busy for most of the week and just caught up on the Velvet Sundown and Mario Party videos today, and... I really want more of both. Hopefully they do end up playing through all of the Mario Party games, or at least the first few, since I remember those being pretty good. Though for the first few I actually mostly played the single player since I was renting them; I think the ones I played with family/friends were 5 and 6? I've definitely played 2 through 7 to some degree but I'm not sure which of the GameCube ones I rented. In any case, I'd like to see them play a few more soon (I expect when 10 comes out Dan'll get them to play that regardless). And ideally some Fortune Street, just because I'd like to see Dan's reaction to it.

I'm also the one who sent in the shoebox e-mail but it sounded a little more aggressive towards Dan than I intended, oops.

Dan has made it clear that his goal is for them to play all Mario Party games. While that might be a bit much, I'm sure they'll get to the next few. Mario Party 2 is where it peaked for me, it's so much better than the first one and I got tired of the franchise after that.

Mario Party 5 is where its at because the Super Duel mode is secretly better than the entire rest of the game.

I wonder if they'll do Advance just because that game's multiplayer consisted of a packed in sheet of paper as a "board" you had to get your own pieces for and you passed the gba around to play the minigames.

For a while I thought there was just one Party per consoles, but jeez, 2 more N64 ones, 4 Gamecube ones...

this might be a little crazy but they must do it. it's kinda like an
endurance run

They went crazy with them during the Gamecube era. It was a dark time.

You might get Jeff to play one more MP game after months of cajoling but I bet that is the most you will get out of him.

Haha, Nintendo really was desperate during the GC era.

I think you're taking Jeff too seriously. He plays up his role pretty well, but it's still a role. Ultimately they're playing a game for a couple hours, drinking and having fun - he'll live.

Even if Jeff genuinely doesn't like something he would likely do it anyway knowing that people would enjoy seeing it. Knowing that the fans would enjoy Mario Party and it would get lots of views (good for business) would easily overpower any reluctance about playing the game.

Indeed.

I think as long as he's having fun he will deal and if he's not having fun he can just shit on it instead.

I'd love to see the stats on that video. just based on the reaction here and the number of comments on the video, it has to have been one of the most popular shows they've had (not counting e3) in a long time.

I don't know what the number peaked at, but when I checked there were over 4k viewers when it was live, and that was for a show in the middle of the week, with only about 3 hours of notice that it was happening.

the secret best thing about doing the MP games chronologically is that each consecutive game is usually worse than the previous one, both in quality and general cheat-iness of the rules. 2 is probably better than 1, but then it's all downhill.

Yeah, that's why he did all those Endurance Runs over the years. Jeff is a man of the people !

XD

Well i think his reluctance to do Endurance Runs goes beyond him not wanting to play through a game. They did pseudo-ERs already with Breaking Brad, Vinny's Dark Souls playthrough, and most recently VinnyVania. Those are just differently named ERs. I trust Jeff when it comes to what content they should produce, the dude has shown plenty of times he knows what he's doing.

I'm currently watching the WWF No Mercy Replay and Dan just told a crazy story about a time when he was watching wrestling and the news decided to interrupt it.

When I was obsessed and watching Smackdown they broke in with a weather report once in high school and I was so pissed off because I wanted to see the end of Smackdown that I created all the news anchors in this game and filmed myself beating them all up with Stone Cold Steve Austin with a chair and mailed the VHS tape to the news station.

I think he'll do what's popular to the audience, up to the point that the rest of the site suffers.

I suspect they felt they could either do basically just ERs, or a lot more varied content. I really think it was just that the time investment wasn't worth it to him.

Mario Party Party would be an occasional thing, so it wouldn't be tying three people up for weeks on end.

I think that they are perfectly fine with doing endurance runs, it's just that they are never going to do content that requires a daily update.

It was interesting to hear him slowly warming up to Persona 4 as the game wore on. In the beginning you could tell his attitude was like, "Ugh. Why are we doing this?" and by the end you could tell it became at least somewhat endearing to him.

Finally got around to the WoW video and watching Dan play an MMORPG for the first time literally causes me pain. I know I was like that at one point, as was everyone the first time they tried an MMORPG, but watching someone do it just isn't for me.

Then afterwards you realize he really loved the game since it (unofficially) won his own game of the year list

I was going through random quicklooks on qlcrew and ended up on the Intel Discovered quicklook, omg, forgot how funny that thing is.

They're not, Jason just mirrored the image to match what we saw on screen. They always mirror the camera when doing Wii or Kinect quicklooks.

Oh right. Probably would have remembered that if it had been a Kinect game, they usually don't do greenscreen stuff otherwise.
