What's the difference between The Rekreational and The International ?
Stumbled on a Dan Ryckert Bingo Card from his GI days. A year old, but still surprisingly relevant

I think The International is professional players, and The Rekreational is between members of the videogame industry.
The level of play is higher in the Rekreational.
What's the difference between The Rekreational and The International ?
What does the name mean? Combination of Recreational and International? Why the spelling though? Is it meant to be Rekt / Wrecked? Because that is awful if so.

Oh wow. The name is "Rektreational". How fucking dumb. "Rekreational" is way better.
Its like watching Michael Jordan drag 4 random guys to the playoffs

It's a play on words.
Wrecked = Rekt.
I know. It sounds terrible.
"If Bread dies, Bread is dead"
Is this thing a league (no pun) or straight knock out?

Just got internet access in my BEQ since getting out of Boot Camp. Catching up on the recent podcasts and E3 coverage.
Also, I guess the Dan Ryckert hire was true. And Jason Oestreicher join too. That's cool.
Anyway, what's the must watch/listen stuff I missed over the past two months?
Some people get so worked up over slang. It is what it is.
Keep that shade to yourself, thanks.I'm gonna gank you.
I can kinda understand late-game DOTA, but early game is still a mystery to me

Did Bradley win?
:CHaha, no.
why do ppl catch feelings over slang? Some people get so worked up over slang. It is what it is.
It's the exact opposite for me. Early game I can kinda judge the strength of my enemies and follow what's happening in the small ganks/teamfights, but lategame teamfights are just clouds of particle effects where people drop like flies for unknown reasons to me.
Brad and Matt are very bad if you take their overall playtime into account. They're not "This is my first match, lol!" bad, sure, rather "I'm 50 hours in, I think I'm slowly getting a grasp on the basics" bad. I don't think this can be salvaged. Brad's situational awareness seems almost non-existent at times, that's the killer. He knows a thousand hours worth of Dota about the game, but he can't execute it.It's kinda odd how the entire Daily Dota team hasn't learned much from Crispy in terms of basic game play. I mean don't get me wrong, none of them are bad by any means but it's just unbelievable how big of a skill difference there is between Crispy and the rest of the gang.
