Amon wasn't "evil" either, yet look at what happened and how he was treated.I hope this is the case. The Red Lotus becoming allies would be awesome.
Ala Zuko. They definitely aren't "evil" in the strictest sense.

Amon is still superior to Zaheer. He had that air of power and swagger that Zaheer just isn't replicating, even though Zaheer's goals and compatriots are far more interesting than the Equalists.
It kind of felt like Zaheer decided to kill the Earth Queen on a whim, but it's mostly fine considering that this plot point was the obvious destination they were setting up across the season. Looks like we'll be going back to republic city soon.
Maybe that's why it's not on TV anymore?

Notice that they don't mentioned that the Earth Queen is murdered, died, assassinated, etc. They say "taken out"
See ya later masked cowboy.Well, that's because he was voiced by Steve Blum. I think Rollin's is doing a good job and all, but you can't beat Steve Goddamn Blum.
Ah well I guess we will see then
Sometimes I think she forgets she has that ability.

Full disagree. I feel like they turned Amon into a 'stache twirler third act to get away from the fact that he was totally right. Good ends, bad means. Zaheer IMO hasn't done anything that betrays who I've seen him to be.
They did the same for Jet who died. It's still a kids show, so death has to happen off screen and not be referred to directly. So it could go either way.
Being a kids show (to some extent),I'm shocked they let the scene where he was suffocating her go through at all. That was actually pretty brutal.
Well, I felt that darkness worked well. I mean when you die, you just see darkness... sorta.
It was subtle and effective, but still felt like it was done as a sort of minor censorship.
They've said kill and death and die before in the series, but not in a direct way, directed at a character.
Well, yeah. Of course. But I don't feel like anyone can be upset about this. I mean, we're adults watching a children's cartoon. This sort of thing has to happen.

Was not expectingthe Earth Queen to be killed. Yeah Imma say killed because that's what it was. >_>
I hope it's a fake out.
I hope it's a fake out.
It certainly does leave some room for a plot twist, doesn't it?
Also IMOZaheer was being fake when he told her not to hurt the radio guy. At least to me it seemed fake.
I just think, even with the Ai Wei thing, he didn't actually go and kill him. I'd like if he was still acting as such under Air Nomad beliefs as he could. Him showing off how easily he could kill someone and in such a gruesome manor is still pretty frightening.In-universe, this wouldn't really make any sense, unless Zaheer and co. are intentionally misleading everyone else.
I mean, it's only natural that the characters would ask the same questions people here are asking if they just keep hearing that the Earth Queen was "taken out" over and over again. The only reason for them not to be trying to sort this out is that the show isn't allowed to talk about the character dying such that this is the closest they can come to showing the characters learning that EQ died.
Now, maybe Zaheer just wants people to think that EQ is dead, but it's hard to see why he would. He's perfectly willing to effectively kill inconvenient accomplices, so unless he's got some use for EQ later (which would be...?) I don't think there's hope.
I love how everybody is comparing Zaheer to Amon. Unalaq isn't even in tbs equation. It's like season 2 never happened, lol.
To be fair, I'm not saying you are wrong. I guessI just don't think Zaheer is 100% clean. I mean, can we really say that, when he's willing to throw one of his faithful servants (who really did nothing wrong) to the wolves? I mean, condemning someone too eternity is pretty crazy. At least to me, it was pretty telling that Zaheer is willing to dispose of his own people if they become a liability.
That said, I guess I would rather Zaheer NOT be a typical evil villain. I would rather he be more gray. So I can see where you guys are coming from too. I sort of wish they hadn't done the violent choking scene if it was just for the sake of a fake out. But I guess we'll just have to see. I do find it interesting that Zaheer's motivations for taking the Queen out, was to get Korra to come back. His goal is to capture her -- not to get rid of the queen, or take down her reign. At least, that wasn't his immediate goal. So that might also hint at him not killing her. It could just be an illusion to draw her out.
The question then is, would you guys rather have an actual revolution in Ba Sing Se? Or would you rather have it be smoke and mirrors, just temporary chaos, to lure Korra out to a spot. Personally, I would prefer the former over the latter.
The fuck is season 2?
Only good part was separating Korra and Mako.
and Wan

Never noticed that Korra had boob physics and I swear her boobs shrunk after season 1 >_>.
Can we talk about how fucking awful Korra's ponytail is? Srsly, like 80% cuter with it down.
She should wear her hair natural. I think an afro would look good on her.
Pretty sure she wears her hair like that to keep hair from getting in her face when fighting. It's not "cute" but it's practical.
edit: can we talk about the episode yet?

And Wan. I was more invested in him than the rest of the show.
