Not sure if opinions are allowed as trivia, but the fact that she hasn't been on a best female characters list is trivia... if it's true.

Every Pokemon aside from Pikachu isn't gendered. Hell, if Mewtwo returns, it's possible they'll make it sound female like it was in the more recent anime. But yeah, Krystal is horrible lol.

Excluding Jiggles from girlhood seems like a technicality to me. If Ms. pacman is a girl with just a bow and lipstick then Jiggles gets to be one for plethora of ways she expresses herself. Anyways I'm just happy we got so many of them this game! Going to try playing Rosalina, Robin and of course Lucina.
 
Hopefully, it will have the starter roster and tell you how to unlock the other revealed characters.

It could also be argued that some of the other Pokemon are female too, given only Pikachu (iirc) exhibits traits that explicitly make him male. Female Pikachu have notches in their tails now.

To top it off, 75% of all Jigglypuffs are female
(I actually looked that up cause I know nothing about Pokemanz!)

Lucario has a 87.5% male ratio, so does Charizard, so it's arguable that both are male.
Pikachu is 50:50. Mewtwo is, apparently, genderless.

Lucario has a 7:1 gender ratio. Which makes breeding one with decent IVs a pain.

And apparently SSB4 Lucario is being voiced by Sean Schemmel.
 
Super Bash Sisters roster would be, so far:
Robin (female), Lucina, Palutena, Mii Fighter (female), Sheik, Zero Suit Samus, Zelda, Rosalina, Marth, Peach, Villager (female), Samus, Wii Fit Trainer (female)

If they receive female alts: Pikachu, Pac-Man
If they make it into the game: Jigglypuff, arguably Ice Climbers (with Nana in lead)

Would the roster include genderless characters? Cause then the case could be made for ROB and Mewtwo as well.

Ms. Pac Man actively identifies as female (hence her name). Just wearing feminine clothing does not a female make. Jigglypuff is probably female based on statistics, but not for certain.

Mewtwo isn't genderless--it's gender is technically "unknown," like most Legendary Pokemon. This is considered distinct from true genderless Pokemon like Magnemite.
 
Sakurai always gives jiggly female accessories and it has a 75% chance of being female in the games.

Also i think tne sunhat alt is based on the fire red/leaf green Lady trainer class hat.

I honestly don't think it matters what gender the Pokemon are. They're nonhumanoid little creatures, they could be either. It really makes no difference.

Well that and how Jigglypuff acted in the anime at the time were the biggest indicators for me, yes.
