This. The riots due to Rodney King trial really fucked over small retail stores in several urban parts of L.A. to the point they outright left and stayed closed with no new one's opening up. Took more than a decade for those parts of L.A. to recover.
Frankly all this shows to me is that the importance of intersectionality, demonstrating the importance of ridding society of capitalism before economically oppressed peoples can get better lives. No private ownership of industry means no reason to loot when the public already controls the material wealth and no reason/way for industries to leave when the community already controls them.
Yeah, well maybe don't use lethal force on unarmed teens and leave they rotting in the middle of the street and people will be less prone to rioting. Oh and try to avoid having coos incite riots by screaming explicatives are the peacefully assembled protesters. Might be a good plan to not run over the kid's memorial with the squad car. And telling the mother her son is dead directly instead of her identifying his body from pics other people took would be a plus.

There was never going to be any good to come from it. The guy who got gunned down is a small piece of a larger problem that people aren't willing to admit exists.
That we now have a situation where more innocents are in danger is a byproduct of the actual problem. As I said before, a few days ago, these people were concerned with their lives, not breaking into a fucking store for rims.

I'm not absolutely saying it is or not it. What I will say is, however is the trim on the building is consistent with QT stores. That and there's definitely some burnt looking junk on the ground and water consistent with a recently put out fire. If it's a fake, it's better than that "What Picture Would They Use" headline.
