Pic of the day. If you manage to raise this Special Flag for long enough, an additional KO count will be added to your score in a time match, or you'll get an extra stock for a stock match. When this appears on the stage, the fight for the flag becomes a fierce battle of tactics, which makes things pretty interesting.

Funny how we joked about a 1-up item and here we are, an item that gives you an extra stock. Though obviously it's not quite as easy as just picking it up. Funny how off the mark we were in predicting what this item did. Nice that the mystery surrounding this item's nature is over.

Olimar was announced right before Pikmin 3 came out and Diddy Kong was announced right before DKCTF. It's not crazy to think they would announce Ganondorf this week alongside Hyrule Warriors.

This is honestly a pretty interesting update for us items users because its such a powerful item and its the first item of its kind. Man if you thought the Dragoon and Smash Ball caused chaos this one is sure to drive people bonkers beating the hell out of each other to get it or stop another person from holding it long enough. I like the inclusion myself.
Also resorting to 4chan level meme spouting about 'Its fucking nothing" is pretty freaking pathetic. The first series of responses I saw almost mirrored the ones I saw on 4chan.

EDIT: The item doesn't look to be that OP. It appears that you need to hold it (and therefore not be able to attack or defend or move) for a few seconds which in this game seems to be a death sentence.

I honestly feel like the item is completely pointless if you have to wait 3 seconds.
I think it would be impossible to use, unless by luck, everyone on the screen is dead except you, then there's a chance on using it without getting hit.

That is the challenge, though. It could work on large stages. It could also work by creating a separation between your opponent using smash attacks before activating it.

Actually, you know what, never mind - I didn't notice until now that it's no items and Battlefield/FD only. I can't stand playing Smash like that, and I especially won't want to with the new game.
Sorry for the trouble, I should have noticed that first. I hope the tournament goes well though!

Yes, I know. This isn't going to clash with your tournament at all, i'll make sure of that. It has different rules compared to yours to differentiate it. It'd also won't be in the very beginning of anything, your tournament will happen first.

I can see it possible on medium stages and definitely on huge stages, but small stages still feel impossible.
I think it is, especially when everyone on the stage sees the item and trying to fight to get it.
That would be cool If time was shared! The item would be either really entertaining to use or really frustrating to use.
