I know this comment will get some hate, but I would fucking love if Nintendo eventually uses some variant of this idea in a Zelda game and she became a Smash Bros. character. I wouldn't want her to be a clone of Link, but be her own character who uses different items from the series (since, for whatever reason, Toon Link refuses too).

This is so outside the realm of possibilities, but I just love that art so damn much. A guy can dream, right?

Interesting about Linkel, though. Part of me wonders if this is kind of in line with what they're planning for Zelda U.
 
At this point we're so close to the full roster being revealed (on JP release or slightly before) that I can't say I'm that excited about seeing any more characters ahead of time. Unless he's about to start drastically altering the rate of character reveals or drop a serious megaton (Mewtwo, Ridley, etc) I am not too concerned about whether we see Ganondorf and Wario now or in a few weeks. It just feels so close now that it doesn't seem like a huge benefit.
 
So.. I was so caught up in trying to get people to join up and everyone getting a chance to being able to participate in the tournament. That.. Well, I forgot to put myself down for the tournament.. So now! It will be capped at 64 participants! Which means there is more room for extra players! ^^

Not really.. but seeing Ike and marth together its easy to till those to are from the same game. same with ness and lucas, even rob and g&w both share the same retro theme. K rool shares non of the similarities with dk and the crew he seems out of place.

I don't agree with him but I can see where he's coming from. While DK Country and DK 64 Donkey Kong and K Rool look like they're from the same games, Smash Donkey Kong and that K Rool don't. K Rool would need to have his appearance get quiet the update. Which I'm sure they'd be able to pull off.

Yes, I know. But that's basically already covered. Once this tournament is ready to go, i'll drop it a week early. That way people who do not go through this thread will see it, and would like to join up.

I'll eventually find out all of the people who dropped out from the tournament.

I never claim him to be good! But his trolling potential was unmatched. The amount of anger my friends felt when I skullbashed them from across the screen and KO'd them because they forgot there was priceless. Oh and have fun chasing him around the stage unless you're Fox.

The way I see it, there's not a whole not of difference from Smash DK and DKC DK. The main difference is that his fur looks realistic now. I guess to modernize K. Rool they could give him some realistic looking scales? It's not a whole lot of effort.

That and his gorilla grunts. I can't stand the way DK sounds in Smash. I actually prefer DK's "Scooby Doo" voice way more :/

If anything, DK's fur looks better in DKC than it does in Smash, so I don't think they'd do that.
