Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

I'm sure most people would recognise him from the super mario show...

:P

I never watched the show anyway.

Micaiah literally ruined Radiant Dawn for me. Glad Sakurai and co. seem to not like her as well and she didn't even get a trophy, let alone a roster slot. Ike and Robin are infinitely superior.

Same thing that happened when Chrom wasn't in and Shulk wasn't revealed.

Like I said, equal parts true and made up.

Or maybe like 75% true and 25% made up. What I take issue with is people treating the shit like gospel. Makes discussion no fun at all.

why does it have to be made up through? can it not just be wrong info?

So, in Hyrule Warrios artbook, there's concept art for a character named Linkel who would have been Link's daughter:
I know this comment will get some hate, but I would fucking love if Nintendo eventually uses some variant of this idea in a Zelda game and she became a Smash Bros. character. I wouldn't want her to be a clone of Link, but be her own character who uses different items from the series (since, for whatever reason, Toon Link refuses too).

This is so outside the realm of possibilities, but I just love that art so damn much. A guy can dream, right?

EDIT: Also, she is sporting some fabulous boots...

I just wanted the Wii U Link to be female. The design would've been great for a female Link, but is just slightly too feminine for a male Link, in my opinion.

I don't mind either way. I do really like the idea of Link having a daughter, though. If done right, could make for a fun twist on a companion character.

The art alone sells me on the character. Why was she never actually made? Such a shame. Though if she's in Smash (which I'd like to see,) she should replace Toon Link. We don't need two Link clones running around.

They are nice boots, aren't they?

I want this to be real

Yeah, that image of her jumping with a crossbow already has ideas jumping in my head. I'd love Zelda U to have some version of this idea.

Also, she should absolutely not be named Linkel.

Please... No more boots. But this seriously reminds me of how disappointed I am in Hyrule Warriors' roster; too few characters, in my opinion, especially for a Warriors game. Flooded rosters are part of the charm!

If Linkel ever made into a game, though, I'd probably just see her as a Link alt. Her hypothetical dad's androgynous enough as it is, so I'd assume it'd be just like Robin, just with different labels/announcer quotes. They look enough alike, and I still think Lucina got lucky being upgraded from an alt, making her an exception, not a rule (Sorry, Lucy fans!). She'd be a great alt, but nothing more.

I'm pretty sure it's a reference to this.

Bowser still has an orange mouth there
I still hate that Bowser design

Hmmm... now that you mention it, it could be. It's hard to say as it kinda has differences from both in odd ways XD

Oh! She was cool in Dragon's Crown :3

(seriously though, I love that design. It's the kind of character I gravitated towards instantly when I was little... heck I still do XD )
